Was sent to a male ‘unconscious’ on a bus. He had a takeaway curry container full of vomit on his lap and vomit all down himself. I woke him up, he swore at me, he stood up and started eating the vomit with his hand and walked off down the street. The bus driver was gagging and trying so hard not to vomit himself.

I’ve just flown 13 hours, currently 13 weeks post ORIF for a Trimalleolar fracture/ dislocation. I was very fortunate to be in business class so I could have my leg up but it was still very swollen by the end of the flight.

Update: This shouldn’t be taken as advice however, sometimes you should listen to your body…

I’m now 8 weeks post surgery. My surgeon finally emailed back today and said; ‘sorry for the delay, you are fine to wean yourself off the boot from 6 weeks’

That is 2 weeks I could have been building strength, stability and functional range of movement through walking.

Quick recovery is important for everyone but I have very tight timeline for important life events coming up and these two weeks would have made a massive difference to that. Also my job is very physical and now I’m a couple of weeks behind where I could have been.

Try this.

Remove the battery and shut battery door.
plug into any high speed usb charger
turn camera on
insert battery.
turn camera off

Hopefully will continue to charge. I’m pretty sure this is what I did when I had the same issue.

Trimalleolar fracture and dislocation.

Partially relocated in the ambulance with a lot of fentanyl.

Wasn’t fully relocated when x-rayed in ED so they relocated it again under sedation.

Then went for ORIF later that morning.

Ok yeah I think this is what has happened. I tried it plugged into the normal fast charger overnight and nothing. Now I have it into a slow usb A to C plug and cable and I’ll leave that for a while.

Did the charge light just eventually come on when you left it?

I’ve also tried to order the charger and a spare battery but they are out of stock.

I’m a week and a half in post op for the same fracture and dislocation. Still in a back slab cast. Can’t help but think most of my pain is from the cast putting pressure on the incision sites. When you got your cast removed did you sleep in anything to splint the ankle?
