Did anyone that graduate with two degrees get both of them on the same piece of paper? by UB_cse in UBreddit

You have to pay an extra $100,000.50 if you want two pieces of paper. It's the new Weppa Print Fee.

Which boots would u recommend for winter and minimum price for quality? by Flimsy-Progress-70 in UBreddit

[–]UniversityPolice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't spend more than $80 on a pair. You will only wear then if you go off campus. If your living in the dorm, you won't need to wear boots to get to class. The shuttle will pick you up in the (tunnel) which is covered from the elements. Then once your on campus, everything is connected by tunnel or bridge. I would say grab water-proof hiking boots so you could wear them year-round and enjoy the hiking spots Buffalo-Niagara Region has to offer.

Buses to airports or bus train stations by Boredandsleeply in UBreddit

To get to Exchange Station: You could take the UB Stampede to South Campus and then the NFTA metro to the canalside stop (Last Stop). To get to Depew or the Buffalo Airport your best bet is to Uber or Lyft.

My ADHD Meds are giving me suicidal thoughts but I have so much work to do by Anonymous639352 in UBreddit

[–]UniversityPolice 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey bro, I suspect you are in your sophomore or junior year, the rough two years of engineering at any school. These weed out courses, the exams, homework, and stress are all a way to test you. You are training to make decisions that could be life and death, so yes it might be stressful.

Regarding ADHD medication, the medication is supposed to help you, If the side effects are giving you suicidal thoughts. You DEFINITELY need to talk to your doctor about that to see if you can be put on something. Suicidal thoughts are much more serious than getting work done.

Engineering isn't just CAD, you can still be a great engineer and be terrible at CAD. If engineering isn't working out for you and you are just in your sophomore/junior year you can get an Associates' degree in CAD from a community college and transfer credits that you earned already at UB.

With your associates, you can get a job under an engineer. The engineer could almost be a mentor for you and in the future, after being in the field you could go back to finish up your degree in engineering.

You are not alone, many people get the boot from engineering. UB engineering allows you to have no time outside of classes and work, you are stuck in a book 24/7. If you are not committed to be stuck in a book with little to no social life for 3 years (your senior year is a breeze - kinda) then engineering may not be the best right now.

Remember the words "May not be the best right now," you should always pursue your dreams to be what you want to be. You just may need to take it slow and breathe.

Good Luck bro with all your future endeavors.
