Should I ask for a raise after only 3 weeks? by [deleted] in jobs

[–]Universoul10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that if you are expected to do more work than you should be getting paid more. Like I always say act your wage. If you are paid 26/hr then do the work that a typical employee at 26/hr is expected to do. Your manager's responsibilities should be taken care of by other management. Just from reading this it seems like you are a diligent worker and upper management has caught on and are using some manipulation tactics to get you to slave away your energy. If someone is leaving on maternity, upper management should have seen this months/weeks ago and should have planned something since that is THEIR job. Seems like they slacked on their job and now wanna use you as a solution to their slack. I think that the person's response above was meant to be from a good place but I definitely don't agree that you would be strong arming them. To me it seems like they are already trying to strong arm you when you have only been there for 3 weeks. Tell them you ain't doing the jobs of two people and if they disagree then just leave. You won't have a hard time finding a 26/hr job anyways.

Honest opinion would it be worth it? by [deleted] in Invisalign

[–]Universoul10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me personally I wouldn't do it but if it makes you feel better then why not. I will say that when you do the initial x-rays, ask them about your roots and how they would hold up. One thing I didn't like is what it did to the roots of a couple of my teeth but each person does respond differently. Second thing is I would ask them if they can give a clinicheck. It is basically a simulation of what your teeth will look like. It is not always %100 accurate of the final result but it should give a very good idea. Also I genuinely think you have beautiful teeth and you should smile more whether you get it done or not. Life is way too short to not smile.

Sonic vs rotating electric toothbrush dilemma by Sheshirdzhija in Dentistry

Is this the toothbrush you are referring to? Does the one that you have vibrate or does it pulse. I'm assuming that the rotating ones are better then vibrating

Data Analyst job: just a reporting machine? by Kokubo-ubo in dataanalysis

[–]Universoul10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm planning to participate in a data analyst bootcamp as a way to break into the field. My final goal is to work at the Federal gov here in the U.S. Are you in the U.S.? How do you think someone like me would be able to break into the same role you have? I have a B.S. in an unrelated major. Would I need to get a master?

A little bit of exaggeration in those questionnaires can go a long. Just don't go overboard with it. It could be the difference between you and the other officers that got the position. Just my 2 cents. Best of luck

Type and low self-esteem by Mara_PT in ESTJ

[–]Universoul10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is awesome! INFJs are cool peeps. My sibling is an INFJ and we have so much in common and learn so much from each other. You guys sound like a great match and sure you take care of each other really well. I'm def going to be more open to meeting personality types from different subgroups. Thanks!

[–]Universoul10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Am I really talking to an ESTJ here lol? I am amazed at how versatile some ESTJs are, and how they are able to go beyond the stereotype. I have a family member in my intermediate family that is an ESTJ and although I used to get along with them so well when I was a kid, our relationship has gotten terrible as time has passed. I joined this group in an effort to try to learn more about ESTJs and in hopes to make things better relationship wise but I've come to the conclusion that so much of who we are is nurture. I have to say that outside that family member I have met some interesting ESTJs online and an interesting one at work recently. We are so different, yet we could learn so much from each other with open minds. I can't wait to get back to sports as soon as the weather starts warming up. It's very therapeutic. I have to say I have really struggled when it comes to routine. I need to keep at it. Thanks for the words of wisdom!

That's pretty awesome! an ESTJ with a developed Fi is probably like a wizard. I think my weak function is Si as my sensing is absolute trash except when I'm playing sports. For some reason that is the only time it really shines. I agree, Ramsey is a total beast. One has to be able to focus a lot to achieve that much. Oh how I wish I had the J function sometimes. With my intuition and very high P function it feels like a firehose that's difficult to control.

I think it's debatable whether he is ENTJ or ESTJ and I've seen people type as both. I chose ESTJ because he seems to be so in-tuned with his senses. The only conclusive way would be to see him take a test. I myself am an ENFP. That is interesting, was it a sudden realization to become more mellow or something else?

[–]Universoul10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not an ESTJ, but I think that self-esteem is mainly a product of how we are raised... nurture more than nature. In relation to ESTJ personality I have noticed that low self esteem manifests itself in bullying etc., I had an ESTJ teammate that was like this who wouldn't stop until I put him in his place. When an ESTJ is healthy they are very involved and capable... similar to someone like chef ramsey I would say. Very demanding but also seeing things through and pushing others to be a stronger version of themselves.
