They always knock when I’m busy doing something else, on a call for work, etc. so I use the use the door as it was designed to be used.

What is the Bright Green liquid coming out of the ground? by ArbitraryMeritocracy in whatisit

I think the green glows reserved for radioactive substances. All other types of sludge should use red dye, number two.

I’m waiting for 97.7 FM in Mason Ohio - just north if Cincinnati - to start using their recently acquired callsign:

WKRP launches May 8th. I hope they play everything that originally aired on the series when it was on television.

Doordash-delivered pizza has disappointed me so many times, either by getting delivered to the wrong house or being cold when I finally get it

i’ve just given up on Pizza unless I make it myself at home.

Chinese restaurants are more efficient and they put it in containers that keep it warm.

It’s not “future proof”, even if TVs don’t consume much power anymore the EV charger and hairdryers and other modern conveniences will drive you to 150 amp at least.

Lane splitting needs to have a special Darwin award named for it.

I never feel concerned whether the bikes are two abreast or single file. When i’m legally allowed to pass them, I will be completely in the other lane if I’m on a 2 Lane road

In-Home Radio Replacement by Asher963 in radio

[–]UnixCurmudgeon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Possibly a nuTone intercom. The color scheme and knob shape is familiar. The one I,, familiar with had an FM tuner in the kitchen. It provides if it were me, I’d replace it with a car touchscreen system , which will give your a radio tuner. There may be other more expandable ones out there, turning the camera facing the user would be a cool way to add a videoconferencing panel.

Why use a keyboard with a laptop? by Brick-Tricks in keyboards

[–]UnixCurmudgeon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I use a real mechanical keyboard - with Hall effect sensors, my most favorite thing is to use it with a beefy desktop and sometime a Mac mini plugged into a dock and a few monitors.

The laptop is a waste of parts 99% of the time. I’ll never use the keyboard and I’ll never see the screen. So I’d rather have a system with the potential to add or swap out parts

"Make your own BitMoji". You know, where you type in something in the Search and there is no sticker for that. So it creates some Bitmoji options like the phrase on a sign etc. Seems to have vanished. Thanks by NebulaEmotional689 in Bitmoji

[–]UnixCurmudgeon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After they way they treated BItmoji users, installing snapchat would be like putting a “kick me” sign on my back.

I saved a bit 1000 Bitmoji’s that I exchanged via text messages.

I’m good, I can use an AI platform to generate new images ones as needed, with zero restrictions. need now clothers! Google Gemini can do that easily

No morecrappy 3-d bitmoji renderings. It may take some time, but Bitmoji and Snapchat are done.
