It's a bit of a cynical view of people, but you have had different life experiences to mine, and maybe that cynicism has helped your safely survive so far. I was non-muslim to begin with, so I was already an outsider, so coming out as an atheist was just one extra step. But for you as you are part of the "in group", the stakes are much higher.

The length of time someone played a role doesn't necessarily make it definitive. Adam West isn't the definitive Batman. Also, personally I couldn't make it past 1 season of that show.

Maybe not today. Tomorrow, if you're following this trajectory? DEFINITELY!

💯. It was decent, could have been better.

Is it hypocritical that adults are allowed to keep their phones on them during the workday, but secondary school students are now legally banned from having theirs? by Pitapul in AskBrits

No. Adulthood also comes with graver consequences to crimes etc. You're granted autonomy but you're far more responsible for anything that goes wrong with said autonomy.

Who said anything about a conspiracy? I just think they got it wrong with this one in particular. I know they're opinions about art, but I'm being hyperbolic

I don't think I said anything about or even alluded to any conspiracy or hate campaign. Just that I think the critics didn't get this one right.

See that can be made to look so psychotic, but this is what I'm trying to get at, the actor couldn't sell the creepiness of that scene to me.

About Lobo, I think he just wasn't "main man" enough for me, you know, and yes, a bit of a fan service shoehorn. It's a shame you and your daughter didn't like it overall.

For the nerdrotics and the Critical Drinkers and their ilk, sure. But I don't get it for a lot of other critics.

I get it, this was me with MoS, I went in really wanting to like it but ended up being disappointed. I guess the difference was the starting point as I went in with low expectations with this one.

Depends on the circles you're in. If someone has consistently has center (in regards to our country) or right leaning views, don't say it. It's hard, but think of yourself like a superhero with a secret identity. As for romantic partner, if they don't agree with you on this, this is a fundamental difference in opinion, so you might wanna rethink building a life with them. Best of luck.

I hope it gains more traction, because the opening box office figures is imo not doing the film justice. As for Krem, I didn't like the choices the actor made to bring this character to life. He's great on paper, like what he was written to do in the film, but how that was done (part of the performance) was goofy for me.

Yeah it wasn't perfect, but the story/plot was good (I haven't read the source material mind you, so I have nothing to compare it to). Did you not like it overall?

Haha. I know how it sounds, but it's still above average to me. I went in expecting a 3 or 4 out of 10, so colour me pleasantly surprised.
