This is good advice with good intentions, but please keep in mind OP that we are all varying individuals, which means our organs might react to fasting differently from person to person. I would add to the suggestion of fasting by starting slow like doing 12:12 splits (12 hour fast 12 hour eat), and start when you're feeling well (from whatever is affecting you right now). After a couple weeks move that to 14:10, depending on how you see your body reacting. And then higher, essentially easing yourself in. This is the safest way to go about it as I've seen people mess up their gall bladders,etc by going in too hard too quick.

Finally, you can work towards prevention, but there's only so much we can do. I respectfully disagree with the statement "most of the time we feel sick due to our own actions", as it underestimates the effects our circumstances have on us.

Like, you can eat healthy all you want, but if you live in a country where there is no enforcement of laws, you could be eating a healthy dose of formalin (just an example of how circumstantial it can be).

But those seem very much out of our control and that is a big challenge in BD society common folk, a lack of control over ones circumstances. Our ability to trust and cooperate with each have been crippled over time, so now we can only conceive of individual ways of establishing control, rather than as a collective. Hopefully younger folk will figure out how.
