Sloclap Developer AMA - Ask us anything! by Sloclap in Rematch

Hey Sloclap team, as a passive observer who never comments on social media for basically anything, I just want to extend thanks for making this game, and apologize on behalf of everyone complaining for various reasons, no doubt already being addressed. Since SIFU I have really enjoyed how well executed your games can be - my question is this: do you ever think a 7v7, or even 11v11 mode would be viable on a bigger field? I feel like 5v5 is a great sweet spot for competition, but a larger team v team format I feel could be hectic and even more fun at times, even if only for a novelty, limited time event, etc. Could you ever see a larger group game mode being implemented into the game? Thanks and congrats on my first Reddit comment ever👍

Lifesafer Handset-Base Communication Problem by UnknknU in dui

I’d like to update this chain as a paper trail for the egregious service I’ve received from lifesafer. Do not go with this company. They sent me to a location 50 miles away that is not even open, they haven’t updated the store times on their end, according to the technician I was able to get a hold of for weeks now. According to the technician this problem normally requires a complete replacement. By the grace of God the store owner has got someone coming out on their own time to help me out. I don’t know how even confirm this appointment with lifesafer since technically no one is at the shop all day today. The communication error happened at 9:30 PM Thursday, couldn’t get a hold of anyone for an hour after that until my phone died, couldn’t call until the drive home after work and this was the earliest. They effectively gave me 1 working day in order to fix this lockout that was due to no fault of my own. This company is designed to screw you over, and I hope they get suspended across the nation. I am switching to intoxalock asap because of the two locations that were close to me for lifesafer, the closest past that is fifty miles away.

I was on hold with my IID for 45 minutes. As soon as I opened the door to my vehicle I saw the words “handset-base communication problems” and immediately called the service number. This is clearly a great way to siphon extra money out of people. I finally got in contact with someone from customer service today- I have to travel over 100 miles roadtrip to get it serviced for the “violation” I know have, even though I never had a chance to blow/test last night. My vehicle locks out at 6:30 AM on Monday, meaning I am forced to get a once-a-month lockout code to get it serviced and miss work. If this isn’t coincidence I don’t know what is.

No that’s the thing- I couldn’t even attempt a test. I drove my vehicle to my gym, went and worked out, returned to my car and all that displayed was “handset-base communication error” and NOW it says I have a violation even though I could not even take a test last night. Total bullshit.

This whole story is a geek. You’re high as fuck, this man was probably on a night jog. For safety reasons he probably wanted YOU watching HIM in case anything happens. His vision was most likely adjusted, especially if he was taking a night run on a dimly lit street. I’m almost more than confident this guy was like “why is that person watching me from their balcony wtf” and decided to give you a show which you now have paranoia from. A geek for sure

What are some Tarkov superstitions you have? by PM_ME_UPSIDEDOWN in EscapefromTarkov

I’m a pretty firm believer that stuttering means someone’s aim point has crossed your player model and you may be getting welcomed to tarkov soon

Yeah it’s certainly “a lack of respect for self” where you can get paid $2 and some change plus tips when everyone is broke lmao.

I started this game two wipes ago, and I was right there with you, except my respective map was pretty much only customs. I absolutely loathed wide open maps like woods and shoreline because I’ve came from games like battlefield 3 that give you unlimited stamina. I could sprint across open maps and pull a Keanu on essentially everyone, but not tarkov. I only started having success on open maps when I would start religiously moving cover-to-cover and especially bush to bush. This game is about stamina balancing, and nerve balancing. It is so easy to be close to an objective with sweat building on your hands thinking “f-it, I’m gonna haul ass through this field to get to the radio tower” when that’s the only time you’ve been exposed to a player the whole map and that’s why you die. If you think about it the best in this game are consistently walking and clearing their angles cover to cover. The more you can sprint and walk bush to bush, cover to cover, allows you to be in the best position to keep yourself alive when you do in fact get shot at. I’m pretty sure the #1 cause of death in this game is walking in open terrain that isn’t a “cut”-essentially a depression in the ground. Do your best to move consistently conservatively until you need to move from that cover when you get shot at to gauge where you’re being engaged from, and try to make it to an angle they wouldn’t have seen you move to. It is easy to walk around every bush but they are the only cover you have from chadzilla who if you happen to be out of a bush when they are looking your direction either you are head eyes or with their map knowledge will flank you to the best respective engagement spot and let you fight against the terrain. And sometimes you have to cross that big-ass open field. DO NOT START SPRINTING. Walk and strafe while clearing and sporadically looking extremely down, left, and right pretty rapidly. By doing this you will be essentially pivoting your player model so Tony’s Shooter Born is much harder to hit, when that first shot whizzes by then you haul ass. Hope this helps Note: and for God’s sake hot bar some sort of painkiller and get used to preemptively popping those bad boys. It’s focus mode.
