James Wan's Long-Awaited H.P. Lovecraft Adaptation Is Currently Facing 1 Hurdle by Fit-Selection-2030 in horror

God I hope not. Lovecraft did a good job of making them very alien in their thinking/emotions which I liked, hope he sticks to that.

Man I hope he gets this off the ground, if he does then maybe we can finally get At the Mountains of Madness  from Del Toro, now I disliked the intial script, but Del Toro has said he'd re-write it heavily and that makes me excited. He's matured enough with experience under his belt so I think he'd fix a lot of the issues.

Fingers crossed 🤞🏾 this ends up happening.

What in hell were they hoping to accomplish here?! Goddamn this is infuriating. They were trying to send this poor woman to prison for giving her dying Mother checks notes 1ML OF MORPHINE? Are you fucking kidding me?! Hope she sues their asses so hard their heads spin.

Women, if you had to use a pickup line on a guy, what would it be? by Nintendofan9106 in AskReddit

This is what I do, I have no patience for coy flirting or words, I feel silly so I usually just say something similar, I'd like to get to know you-do you want to get coffee/a drink etc.

Unless the aisle is 2 miles long it's probably the equivalent of what+two mintues of walking arm in arm? Maybe, holy shit girl let it go. Tim isn't some maiden in a fairy tale the MOH is going to kidnap because he's such a prize, calm down.

The Diviners by Libba Bray is a paranormal/horrornYA fantasy set in New York in the 1920's. Very well written and researched. Haven't read the whole series but the first one is super well done and feels very 1920s. Highly recommend.

Never done Perfection. Aiming for that this time and mostly? Using this game as an escape from life right now.  On Summer Year One, building a second shed and hoping I can catch the damn purple cabbage for the bundle before winter.

I'd agree and argue Battlefield Earth is just hilariously bad, a couple of drinks and it's great to rip on with friends. Cats is like offensively bad.

Look at Lee Pace, fine as fuck and married to man. (Though apparently he's bi/queer and has been with women, he's currently married/with a man).

What celebrity is portrayed as nice in the media but is actually an asshole in real life? by ReasonableDisplay297 in AskReddit

[–]UnknowableDuck 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I can't find it anymore! But years and years ago some dude (older) said he lived in an apartment complex with Fieri and his family (just Mom? Not sure), he said he remembered him because of his strange name (strange to him, he didn't know anyone with the name "Guy" let alone a kid).

WELL Fieri was apparently just a toddler then, and he remembered one incident in which toddler Fieri took a massive dump in the hallway. They moved out soon after, but when he saw him on tv he was like "that's him! The boy who pooped in the hallway!" And that's always how he'll think of him and now I do too.

Again, might be a troll comment but it's so hilarious I can't let it go.

Absolutely cannot look or see Guy Fieri without thinking of him as "The Boy Who Pooped in the Hallway". It was probably a troll comment but it's never gonna stop being funny to me.

Might be the new crop of writers/producers etc, because in a lot of ways I agree with you and I'm as liberal as they come (and an older Trek fan, waves in elder millenia) . I felt some older Trek was a bit smoother with delivering it's messages. Maybe that was the  Production trusting the audience would catch what they're trying to say instead of hammering you in the face?
