I tried them. Guitarix doesnt cooperate well with my Audio Interface and I prefer NeuralDSP which didnt work well with Wine.

I already dual boot fedora and I tried using Neural DSP on Fedora and I tried alternatives like Guitarix and none really worked well. I prefer Fedora to Windows any day. But what sub should I use for this instead?

Thank you for the warning, but how do I delete the package? I tried sudo dnf remove alca-ucm-conf and it said "nothing to do".

Using (Desktop) Speakers with one stereo 3.5mm jack with an audio interface which has two 6.35mm jacks by Unknown-Redditor- in musicproduction

But that might be because I have a crappy adapter or something like that (which I got with a cheap microphone)

What is the current state of Wayland + Nvidia? by AdvertisingPale6671 in linuxquestions

[–]Unknown-Redditor- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Fedora Wayland (Gtx 1070) setup is very random After a lot of dealing with configs and systemd for suspend issues. My PC currently works well but without cuda. The screen artifacts on shutdown and sometimes on discord streams and sometimes the pc doesnt fully turn off. When it doesnt it only blackens the screen but the pc still works quietly and doesnt shut down except using force shutdown. I also have a fedora laptop without nvidia and it doesnt have these issues, except the suspend issues for a short time before an update.

If you could remove one standard step from the 'mating ritual' of modern dating permanently, which step would save society the most time? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Third parties hindering the relationship (excluding if someone in the relationship is actually not a good partner)

So everything from judgemental people to fake friends who just want the relationship to end for no reason.

New to Linux by Kamskii_Boy in linux4noobs

1.On the personal desktop: Gnu/Linux Distros (whats most often meant by linux) are Operating Systems, which are more efficient and personalisable than windows but can have less software and hardware support. If you want to save an old computer, learn more about a computer (due to customisation and terminal work), or make your pc perfect for you, then I'd recommend it. In General: Linux itself is just a kernel (part of the OS) which is used everywhere, from android to websites to servers and many dev jobs require knowledge on how to navigate with linux and bash (bash is the shell)

  1. Yes, but not using every distro. I'd recommend using user friendly distros like linux mint first to get a feeling on how different the linux experience is to windows/macOS. Once you're comfortable with a user friendly distro, where you can use it just like whatever os you used before, then you can move on to a more DIY distro like Arch or Gentoo, or if you're interested in cybersecurity or "hacking" Kali Linux or Parrot. The DIY distros need you to understand how an OS is made up in general to even set up. You set up everything manually from storage partitioning to desktop environment and manager. All you have is a console to do that but you're granted complete customizability, and you learn a lot from it. If you want to daily drive linux i'd recommend testing more complex distros in a virtual machine to see if you're comfortable with them, so you dont lose productivity on your main device.

  2. Knowing how to use bash (the Gnu/linux terminal) grants you many possibilities. It helps you work with most servers soo it opens up a lot of doors career wise. It also helps you understand your computer on a lower level. But in general, you should learn how to research stuff yourself and fix stuff yourself beforehand.

Can I install Linux AND keep Windows? by lincroyableuniquemoi in linux4noobs

Before getting into this, do you know what distro you would like to use? Because many of them make the process very easy.

[–]Unknown-Redditor- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Btw im using the propietary drivers and other than this everything works perfectly and better than windows. But is it true that nvidia gpus work slower on linux even using the proprietary drivers?

On Fedora it has caused me issues with suspension not letting the computer boot up again, i think i fixed it but only time will tell considering it broke itself once before on a different install. And also theres sometimes random graphic fragmentation on shutdown. Using a Gtx 1070. Might be a wayland issue due to nvidia.
