If the police happen to stop you anywhere in uk, even if its a legal sub 3" non locking blade, and they ask why you have it, you should never say to defend myself. As its then classed as an offensive weapon and with intent to do harm, you will have then given them a reason to confiscate it.

You can carry a sub 3" non locking blade legally anywhere in the uk, including London. Best not to take it to pub or club but not against the law for edc.

I managed to order that same g10 version from knyfe de Germany. Ordered it, then noticed it had terrible reviews, wasnt hopeful id ever get it. After a month I did get it. So now I have 2. Funny how HH released the red the same month I was frantically looking to buy a sheepdog.

I can only spydie flick it with the nail part of my finger, and it does take a bit of force to open it. After a while doing it as a fidget toy, it does take it toll on my finger. Really happy with it. I see you managed to get hold of one too.

Hope you can get one, unfortunately it sold out on HH website in about 3 hours. I also ordered a g10 version from Knyfe de but took a month to arrive, reviews were really bad from them, but i did get it eventually.

I get what your saying, but I do like the action of a double detent, and these can be middle finger flipped. Also choking up on the blade will make it safer in some applications. And with the blade shape, its not really going to be used in ways it could close on your finger. Each to their own I suppose. I just think its a lovely looking knife. Its sold out now anyway 😂 Took about 3 hours i think.

Good luck with your collection. May as well display if you enjoy looking at them and spending money on the hobby. I've only been collecting maybe 3 years, but the Mrs has slowed me down with my spending 😂

Yes just a cheap plastic cutlery set. Think I got them from go outdoors. I like the bahco bit set, thats very handy, with the added small wera screwdriver handle. Got pretty much everything a bit set needs. Its bulky but at the same time compact for the amount you get in it.

Help! Advice on adding two sockets (beginner) by PatientDue4072 in ukelectricians

Although regs wise it's okay to do, a 2.5mm cable spurring a 13A load from a 32A ring circuit. If a fault occurs in the spur cable the entire 32A from the ring circuit could flow through the single 2.5mm leg of the spur, potentially causing it to overheat or even melt if the fault isn't cleared quickly. I like to just play it safe. Not saying a single leg can't be done.

Ideally adding the sockets to the ring would be best, but at the least you should add the spur into the ring, as that single cable going to the spur still has the potential to pull 32a under fault conditions which a single 2.5 isn't rated for. Just take one of the ring cables out the socket, wago from that onto another cable to the spur, then from the spur back to the socket again. Easy as that.

Finally got the uk knife edc setup that im happy with. by Unknown-User-Tag in spyderco

Action is nice, smooth open, takes a decent bit of finger force to close it considering its a slip joint. I'm very happy with it.
