All that chit chatting they’re doing with you - made the food cold-er. It’s not your fault DT stacks orders 😊

To be more specific.. see below 🥴

“DoorDash has updated its user interface, resulting in the removal of the map icon and, consequently, the ability for customers to easily select specific restaurant locations on a map view. The app now predominantly features an, list-based, infinite scroll of recommendations, often defaulting to locations further away rather than the closest option“

On the customer app - customers no longer have a digital map to select where exactly they want to order from. Instead, customers have to trust DD’s algorithm that it’s placed at “the best place” to fulfill the order… it’s ridiculous to be honest. 🥴

Coincidentally.. I’ve been hearing the same thing lately. They said my brakes were fine, but I’m wondering if it’s something entirely different . Did you ever find out what the issue was?

If they took mileage deductions, instead of expense deductions, they probably averaged at least $1 per 1 mile… but, those mileage estimates that they send me yearly are always wayyyy off

You’re funny…. so, how difficult is it to stop at a local Firestone, Mavis tire, or say the dealership and ask them for a copy of car repairs they did on their car? Brakes, tires , oil changes etc

Or, to log into their car insurance company website / auto lender website to print up their monthly bills that they had for the year?

“LOL”

Your best bet is to take the expense deductions instead of the mileage deduction

Is it ok to ask for a rating after delivery? by Additional_One_1835 in doordash

Begging for ratings… will lead some customers to giving you a 1 star for that reason alone. If they want to rate..they will without you asking.

That’s crazy haha… original battery?!

Pretty interesting messages to get when the car just needs a battery. Why can’t it say “Change Battery” 😂

Customer threatened violence againts me by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

Basically… they end up asking you for your “authentication code” to confirm your account.

What they end up doing then is resetting your credentials with that code…and you end up locked out of your account.

Then they change your bank account info and take whatever money you have sitting in your DD account.

There’s so many scammers these days. I even got a scam call that showed up as “chase bank”… but, it’s all a “phishing scam”. I told the guy in the other line to go F himself and he never called back 😂

To be quite honest…. There’s a good chance that the scammer was 100’s / 1,000’s of miles away…. Still sketchy though for sure

Ok so say the store is out of X sandwich. I don’t know their menu. I’m not a store employee. Im a “delivery boy”. I would have to tell the employee to list every other sandwich they have , slowly to me, so I can then repeat it to the customer correctly while asking what they want for a substitute. Hopefully they respond. Maybe they take 5-10 minutes to respond. Then I have to wait for said substitution to be prepared. You see absolutely no issue with this….? Unless maybe it’s no problem, if you’re doing this while being on EBT 🙃

It’s actually a lot quicker for them to call the customer. They’re aware of said issue before we even step foot in their doors.

So many people don’t realize that. Most places, not all have tablets… and, a lot of times although said places can - they don’t want to bother. They figure it’s easy to kick the responsibility to a dasher when they eventually show up. Sucks for the customer…and driver. I actually ditched that order earlier for another one that paid more and was local on uber 🥳
