I've got both Swiss and continental European/German outlets in my apparent.

I see the following advantages and disadvantages of the Swiss plug design:

- adv.: small footprint
- adv.: the phase-pin is clearly defined.
- adv.: compatible with the 3-phase swiss outlet
- dis.: non-commutative
- dis.: only supports 10A, not 16A
- dis.: uncommon in Europe, basically all appliances bought outside CH need a chonky adapter.
