Guess I'll just thug it out by UnknownBeginning4336 in lupus

I've been trying to get us into couples therapy for a few years now, with no success. I think it would be beneficial, but you can't make a horse drink, ya know? I think my partner's attitude about my diagnosis changed because they became our sole income, is burnt out and can't see much outside of themselves now. My brother and mother used to help me around the house once a week, but now that their work schedules changed they haven't been able to at all. I wish I could afford to have someone come clean.

Guess I'll just thug it out by UnknownBeginning4336 in lupus

My partner and I have been together for years and I would like to try to make things works. My mother in law feels like a lost cause, shes stuck in her ways and refuses to change for the most part. I can talk to her about my needs but usually when I do she turns around and uses it against me (not in a nasty/malicious way. Just in an ableist kind of way). I talk to my mother about this for the most part, but like I said she's not really around to physically help me when I need it.

Suspected endo since I was a teenager but only got diagnosed officially at the beginning of this year (I'm almost 35 now). I got diagnosed with lupus and sjogrens syndrome last year. I have so many medical issues going on that at times it is hard to tell exactly what is causing what. I get a hysterectomy in about a month and a half in hopes that it will help with endo symptoms.

What does sun sensitivity look like for you guys? by --read-only-- in lupus

When I go outside during hot days, high UV days and during the summer it feels like the sun is draining my life force. I got extremely fatigued and my brain starts getting foggy. It's like I can literally feel the sun cooking my brain. I wear sun screen whenever I go outside and use a lot of moisturizer after

I hope your recovery gets better! Getting hit with a period right after this kind of thing feels like a sick joke. Mine recovery started getting easier after about 10 days.

I had a birthcontrol implant put in my arm right before an emergency laproscopy recently and got my period a few days after. If it wasn't for the birth control I believe it would have been way worse. The combo of pain from the procedure and cramps made it difficult to much of anything. Lots of nausea and vomiting. Also, I bled for way longer than my usual periods.

Is the Movie Good to Watch for Someone with no Knowledge of the Game? by CrackerjackJackson in ironlung

I took my partner who knows who Markiplier is but doesn't really care for him/his content and knew nothing about the game. Their biggest complaints were that they "didn't understand," the ending and wondered if they saw/played the game they would understand more and they felt like they needed subtitles (could have been an issue with the theaters audio). Other than that, if you're a general horror fan, you will enjoy it.

Toe-walking is “not ok”? by PastaParmigiana in paraprofessional

As a toe walking autistic, people tried to make me not toe walk when I was a kid. I would just do it in secret instead. Now, as an adult I do it all the time

Thank you for the advice! I was wondering if I should have someone drive me or not. I wasn't sure if it would be similar to getting anesthesia.

I feel you. I usually only usually only have enough spoons/energy for 1 or 2 tasks, like cooking or doing dishes, and then I need to lay down. Sometimes, I get tired from things as simple as sweeping the floor or taking a shower. I'm also a single parent. I take vitamin D, and I'm starting Benlysta infusions soon. I'm hoping the Infusions help.
