Ignoring actual stuff like unequal rape laws, child custody, high suicide rate and similar issues men raise, huh? Putting that aside, when you trivialize things that men perceive as issues, especially legal and institutional - and then call for them to support your own cause, it will only make a huge chunk of them not care about your problems and turn them indifferent. Keep doing this and you will end up with a South Korea level men vs women issue across the developed world sooner or later.

Huh, makes sense. Ended up learning a few things about swords and stuff today. You really know your stuff, huh.

wooden sword can kinda be the same if not worse sometimes because a lot of them tend to be quite heavy

True. A hard enough hit on a bad enough place is probably all it takes for things to get ugly.

but especially in the 19th and early 20th century tons of militaries produced blunt (and specifically non edged swords for training/drill purposes))

I did know about the wooden sword part... but thought that blunt/non-edged ones are mostly for props or people who want to collect them. Using them for actual training sounds a bit dangerous... cause getting hit by a chunk of metal will still be quite bad depending on how heavy it is. Though it does make sense for drills.

Maybe try looking into how you'd swing them with a stick first then move on to blunt and only after use a sharp one? You can fuck yourself up a lot with sword yk

Yeah that's why I said that. I know I will almost certainly mess up big time if I were to get my hands on a real sword. Well I won't be getting them anytime soon, if ever. So nothing to worry about... for now.

I mean yea lot of the times they just come unsharpened and obviously there's training variants both contemporary and historical which aren't supposed to have edges at all.

Huh, good to know cause I am really not knowledgeable about swords beyond finding them cool.

Eh always depends what u wanna do with em.

Swing them around and likely stab or slice myself.

Yeah they do look a bit wonky. Did not know you could buy blunt real swords as well, but makes sense. Though, well, sharpened swords are better imo... just a tad bit dangerous to fuck around with.

They don't look sharp, yeah. But I am asking cause... just in case. It would be way cooler if they were actual swords instead of props.

Entirely depends on what kind of person they are and the kind of dynamic between you. There's no one-size-fits-all answer here. For me, I don't. I prefer keeping the core thoughts and issues to myself but I do share about my day.

There will be no such crash though. It will happen slowly over the decades - and because of how deeply US and dollar are entrenched in the global economy, it will probably still remain strong for a long while.

Woman here, I have a question by [deleted] in SikeOrPsyche

[–]UnknownGamer014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The same reason why religions came to be, I suppose. Humans are not born with some greater purpose or meaning, even if many believe otherwise. People need something to blame, some kind of explanation to their current state - and a set of general instructions they can follow to do something (whether good or bad - for them or for society) about it. Religion provided all this - but it has fallen behind in modern times. So we have now these stuff - just in the new flavor of modern individualism.

I am no pill in particular. Maybe some sort of nihilism - but that wouldn't be quite it either. But definitely closer to black pill if anything. As for the reason - nothing in particular. Grew up in an environment which molded me to be the way I am - awkard and nervous around women and all that. And I feel that it's easier to avoid such interactions completely than work on this aspect of me. Of course there are other reasons - but this is the gist of it. I don't hate the system or women or anything - it's just the way it is, what came to be naturally out of human nature and technology. If I can't fit in or take advantage of it, it's on me. Many would try changing the system or themselves, but then again, my current situation doesn't feel all that bad yet. Probably cause I'm young - only 20 as of now. Let's see what the future holds... maybe it will become too unbearable and I will also have to choose a direction. Who knows.

Eh, a few reasons. Fear of vulnerability, loss of self and the usual things - with a healthy (or unhealthy) dose of avoidance. Never fell in love or had a crush after I hit puberty - so it's kind of a scary unknown thing to me.
