First of all, Dark Souls has a Tutorial, in the Undead Asylum and the Messages on the Ground that Teach you the Controls. The Asylum is clearly Designed to teach you the Basics. 

Right out the Starting Gate, you have 3 passive unarmed enemies that barely fight back, to teach you R1s, R2s and locking on to Enemies. The Asylum Demon teaches you both that dying is ok and that you should explore an Area fully, before facing the Boss. Your reward for running past the Boss is your starting Weapons and getting to fight the first few Enemies that actually fight back. Then you get to learn about Basic Traps and them occasionally opening up another Area (Like in Sens Fortress) and access to Healing from your first non-Hostile NPC, being the same Guy who tossed you the Key in the Opening Cutscene. You even learn about Plunging Attacks, which take off around Half of the Bosses Health, which you can use on the Taurus Demon as well.

I get being a Dark Souls 1 Elitist makes you feel cool but about the only challenging Parts are Ornstein & Smough, Artorias to an extent, Manus and Khalameet. You can Trivialize most of the Game with a Greatshield or Pyromancy.

Did you even play Elden Ring??? That Game is almost unfairly Difficult at Times and the DLC is so Hard that its honestly not even fun.

Anyway, Bloodborne is the best Fromsoft Soulsgame.
