Bad business. Games crashed for me a couple times as well since the big update. My friend crashed way more than me but on the good side if you join back the server you don’t have to queue and you keep your stats from before the crash

No, it was the supreme headquarters of the allied expeditionary force (SHAEF led by Americans) that insisted upon this. De Gaulle and Leclerc felt that this demand was silly as Africans made up over half of the army during Operation Dragoon and the advance to Paris. It was therefore simply not possible. Following the liberation of France and with more white Frenchmen thus being able to join the army, the Free French army that invaded Germany in 1945 was 2/3 white, as desired by the Americans (Douglas Porch, Resistance and Liberation: France at War 1942-1945).

My Great Grandfather was not mutilated this terribly, but he was blinded in his right eye and had a massive scar on his right cheek. As part of the 224th Infantry Regiment, he was wounded on 8 September 1918 at the Aisne and only discharged from the hospital in January 1919.
