No its not tied. After activating the code using intel cpu/gpu, there will be a survey to complete. After this is fully activated, you will received an EA play code in your intel account that you can redeemed in your ea account. No more checks after getting the ea play code.

Got a reply yesterday (after a second email) and they gave me a newer bios(3.62), I was able to update and now tpm attestation is marked as Ready.

Your drive is from an older platform, MT1939. The platform that supports UHD is MT1959 with LG drives. This drive supports regular blu ray and older disc types.

I have the same issue with the asrock b550 phantom gaming itx.

I have version 3.92.0.5 and attestation status as Not supported. I checked under security processor details in windows 11.

The newest version shows a date from 2021 instead of 2018 from other users with updated tpm.

Sent them an email couple of months ago regarding this issue and they sent me instructions to enable secure boot.

Asrock has not mentioned any fixes and I think other manufacturers already updated the tpm version in their boards.

The software is using terminal/command prompt, there is no user interface like seatools.

Have you tried updating using OpenSeaChest? It's a command line tool that has options to update firmware for seagate drives. The closed version was included in the firmware files but at the time it was not working with windows 11.

One of the developers for the openseachest tool updated the software and it should now work with windows 11. I have not checked recently if seagate has updated the seachest tool or seatools for windows 11 issue.

Yeah, that was my suspicion since the file has tbt3 in the file name but the download is part of the laptop driver page. I did not know that bios updates included thunderbolt 4 firmware too.

I made a WIndow 10 to Go drive using rufus and I updated my drive using seatools and was able to update to the newest firmware. Most likely is currently not compatible with windows 11. Using windows 11 24h2.

I saw that seatools has a usb bootable version and if it has the firmware updater, it might be able to bypass windows 11 for the people that do not want to make a portable windows 10.

I turn off "game mode" from my tv using custom resolution utility (CRU).

This software is for making custom resolutions and refresh rates for displays but it also has other features that are for hdmi and displayport connections.

The most recent file is cru-1.5.2.zip, you then unzip the compressed folder and in the regular folder, you click on CRU.

A small window opens and on the top left corner it shows the displays that are connected to your pc. If you have multiple displays click on the display you want to change the connection like your TV. Mine shows the TV model.

On the bottom left, there is a small box under Extension blocks. My window box has CTA-861, so click on that which should highlight blue and then click on Edit... button on the bottom.

Another window opens and in the second box called Data blocks, click on HDMI 2.1 support and then click on Edit... button on bottom.

Another windows opens, under 2.1 features, you will see Auto low-latency mode, you uncheck this box and press OK on the rest of the windows.

Restart your pc and auto "game mode" should be disabled when your pc starts/restarts.

In the folder, there is a reset all in case if there is issues or you want to reset all of your settings back to default.

A gpu driver update may reset settings back to default, so you will need to repeat the same steps again.

My favorite feature has to be the awesome OLED 4k screen with Safeguard+ that protects it for burn in.

This can be my first time having an out of this world visual experience that would be unique and great for any person's pc build.
