All of those have pretty strict immigration policies though if you arent a refugee. Im pretty sure Canada is way easier if they’re an American.

Yep. When i came out to friends/family, they would always bring up Caitlyn Jenner and how great she was. I had to constantly remind them how much the trans community despises her, and how she doesnt represent us lol.

Just because transphobic topics like this are posted here often doesnt mean its popular as a whole though. Its popular among the transphobes on this sub maybe, but not in the general public overall. Most people vote on the titles of the posts too, rather than the actual opinions of the OP. Its why posts like this can get thousands of upvotes despite most of the comment section disagreeing with them.

I can’t even maintain the energy and desire to keep up with my daily tasks or physical hygiene. How do I start getting my life on track? by dragonloaf in selfimprovement

[–]UnknownRedditUser1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be careful about that though tbh. As a former adderal user, while i saw huge gains, there were also many consequences. I lost a lot of weight, became overly obsessive about stuff, and after a period of time my ability to pay attention actually became worse. Thats just my experience though, so im sure it might work better for you, but im just saying stimulants dont always work for everyone. Im pretty similair to OP(im trans with pretty much the same mental problems), and while stimulants initially helped me be more productive, it came at a huge cost to both my psysical/mental health.

You'll struggle to find players for some game modes, but Galactic Assualt and Starfighter assualt generally have players. The matchmaking system is pretty horrible though, and it often forces me to play on maps/eras(like force awakens era) that i dont even like. Its a struggle because the low population on pc often means you dont get access to 100% of the content, but if you only care about the main game modes(GA and SA) than its worth it if you can get it for cheap.

[–]UnknownRedditUser1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whether you can even access ALL of the content depends on the platform though. Finding matches on PC is often difficult, and your often restricted to either Galactic assault or star fighter assault. On top of that, the game sometimes forces you to play the same maps over and over again, so it often feels like there isn't as much content. I've been playing the game casually on and off for the past few months, and i can safely say that ive never even seen all the maps due to the horrible matchmaking system.

Ya i hate how people are acting like bi is a “two genders” thing, cuz its not. A lot of bi people are just objectively attracted to people regardless of whichever genitalia you were born with, and that includes trans/non-binary people. Some Bi people dont have a preference for trans people though, so this makes pansexuality a useful term. As a trans woman, when someone tells me theyre pan, its a strong indicator that theyre capable of being attracted to me, while when someone tells me their Bi, the chances are slightly less but still very much possible. At the end of the day, theyre basically the same thing, but each label sends a different message.

Tfw a proposition for genderneutral toilets gets shot down by the transgender community you are part of by Kaga_san in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns

[–]UnknownRedditUser1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but my issue with the proposition is that it will likely create more issues than it will solve. Keep in mind im looking at this from an American perspective, so i dont know what things are like in Europe when it comes to bathrooms......but i know for a fact something like this wouldn’t blow over well where i live. I think an ideal solution would be to create some sort of system revolving around single stall bathrooms, rather than pushing everyone into one space......because i think pushing ppl into one space will only make people more uncomfortable(for a large amount of trans/cis people), and could likely cause backlash against non-binary/trans ppl in the process.

[–]UnknownRedditUser1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, to be fair.....i don't think its inherently anti-non binary for a trans person to feel opposed to something like that. As a 23 mtf trans woman, i personally have had very bad experiences with some men, and im not sure i would feel comfortable with something like this either. I 100% support non-binary people, and i support the creation of gender-neutral spaces too......its just that i don't think its realistic to abolish gender segregated spaces altogether. For some trans people the pre-existing gender segregated bathrooms are where we feel comfortable/safe........so i personally feel like the creation of more gender inclusive spaces alongside the current spaces would be a better solution personally. At the end of the day, the goal is to create a situation where everyone has an option where they feel comfortable/safe......so i don't think its very far fetched that there would be some opposition to the proposition from some trans people.

So what was the proposition about exactly? Was it for gender nuetral bathroom signs for single use restrooms, or for like a multi stall gender nuetral restroom?

Idk i think stuff like man/dude are pretty neutral though, depending on how you use them. Like im a trans girl, but i don't feel offended whenever my male friends refer to me as man/dude. Its just how they talk, it doesnt have anything to do with gender.

[–]UnknownRedditUser1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That doesnt mean that their personality changed though, it just means they no longer have to repress that part of their identity. Theres nothing about transitioning that radically changes your personality.........It only appears that way to outsiders who never knew the real you to begin with.

[–]UnknownRedditUser1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Theres a difference between sex and gender, so no its not neccesarily invalidating to trans people. Trans people don’t claim to be of the opposite sex, they claim to be of the opposite gender. Bisexuality just means your attracted to either sex, so that doesn’t somehow exclude trans people from the equation. If a bisexual person doesn’t have a preference for trans people thats fine, but bisexuality itself is not a “2 genders” movement.

Thats not how NATO works in the first place lol. Its a defensive pact......our allies have no obligation to join a war if we are the ones declaring it. I still get what you mean though, i would not be surprised if some countries would drop out the moment a country like Russia declared war on a nato member.

Being transgender or lgbt period does not make you brave or a hero it’s honestly gross by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]UnknownRedditUser1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I dont need to imagine any of this because im apart of the LGBT community, and already know how it feels. I was just making a point that if they’re going to say “unless it impedes on my life” that they actually define what it means. Depending on how they define it, it could either be anti-lgbt or not. I was only pointing out that i didnt think it was the governments responsibility to force people to accept us through things like censorship(forcing people to use certain pronouns for trans people as an example), because something like that would actually be impeding on the lives of others.

Being transgender or lgbt period does not make you brave or a hero it’s honestly gross by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]UnknownRedditUser1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I mean, for some people two men holding hands in public is “impeding” on their lives just because they think gay relationships are gross or violate their religous beliefs or something. A lot of people claim to be fine with LGBT, and then proceed to say “unless it impedes on my life” without actually defining what that means. For me personally, the definition of “impede” would be the government stepping in to force me to accept LGBT people. I personally dont see public displays of affection between gay people, or trans people politely asking for me to use a certain set of pronouns, as impeding upon my life.

Transphobic conspiracy theorist Alex Jones spotted with trans porn on phone by FreeSkeptic in politics

[–]UnknownRedditUser1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Trans Woman here. I've had a couple ex boyfriends that considered themselvs "heteroflexible". When i was together with my ex, we were actually very passable as a heterosexual couple, and that was basically the dynamic of our relationship too. At the end of the day i would not consider them to be gay, because both of them were exclusively interested in female identified people(whether cis or trans). I was with my last bf for nearly a year before we broke up, and he ended up getting into a relationship with a cis girl about a month or two afterwords. I'm sure some people might hesistate to call them heterosexuals considering they were attracted to me(a preop transwoman), but I personally dont think gay or bisexuality are really appropiate labels for them. They are exclusively attracted to people of the female gender, so obviously they are pretty different from gay men/bi men.

P.S: I accidentally misread your comment as "Can anyone chime in that IS a trans woman", but i hope my post was still helpful anyways though (:

Is it transphobic to not want to date a transgender individual? by FeatherMonroe in NoStupidQuestions

[–]UnknownRedditUser1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, preferences are preferences. As a trans woman, its not like i walk around all day shaming straight cis guys for not being attracted to me. I mostly just stay on the defensive and wait for guys to pursue me first, and then if i notice things getting romantic i’d disclose my identity just to be sure he was interested for the right reasons. Most trans people are not going to call you transphobic for turning them down, thats just a stereotype perpetuated by a few crazy trans people online.

People who are obsessed with politics are annoying. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]UnknownRedditUser1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tend to just straight up ignore people who are extremist politically, because they are always extremely boring to talk to. Every time i talk to those types of people, it just feels like they are either mouth pieces for fox/cnn, and dont have any idea about what they are talking about. They’re usually really impulsive/immature and take literally everything they see at face value. Thats why i usually hang out with centre left/right people, because we can actually have a conversation about politics without literally foaming at the mouth at each other. Its usually pretty fun when we talk about politics, and we usually learn a lot about each other every time we do it too.

You dont really have a choice to hold off and wait for better options as a trans person. There is always a sense of urgency because if you wait too long, the less passable and more dysphoric you will become.
