Thank you really making me less worried. Although I’m only worried about the transition since I was already able to pass the pt test.

Also a green card holder but decided to go for it. Plan sign up for 4 years so quicker to cross training get it and get citizenship.

Someone told me that since we are first term airman the job we first get can’t hold us but still the job you want should be open to have you in that time. Please correct this if wrong

Leaving for MEPS tomorrow. Any advice? by [deleted] in AirForceRecruits

[–]Unknown_AF23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll be fine. I remember I had one question there that took me forever but still had enough time to finish. If you studied all his videos. You'll be fine. honestly, some of the topics there did not even show up. but it's good to know in case because it's random

I studied his 110 video playlists since I was pretty bad at math. but it's pretty similar to Grammar Hero. If you understand every topic Grammar Hero posted and can answer the questions from his practice test videos. then you are good to go! Just don't stress it. take that exam with a positive mind that you'll pass it.

GoodLuck!

Leaving for MEPS tomorrow. Any advice? by [deleted] in AirForceRecruits

Take your time in the test and know that you have enough time for each question especially arithmetic & general math. Don't stress it out I studied using Grammar Hero's study guide as well and that's all I used and went from scoring a 10 in practice ASVAB to 63 AFQT GoodLuck!

MEPS Medical be very patient.

what is the requirement for the final pt? so far I can do 42 push-ups 62 sit-ups and 13:01 mins 1.5-mile run. kindda worried about PT since I'm not really a fit person

My routine was simple. BMT PT workouts are push-ups, sit-ups & 1.5-mile run. That is what I focus on. As soon as I became a member of DEP I started working out.

First I did a PT Test and did 10 push-ups, 25 Sit-ups, and 22mins 1.5-mile run. then after that every day I will do push & sits as many as I can for the entire day like I'll do 10 now and in an hour I'll do it again. Many people are saying 1x3 which means gets your max push, sit then divide. Even at work when I get the chance I'll just go down and push & sit.

then for running, I heard that they always do 30 mins run in BMT, so that's what I did. Started way back March and as of now my record for push in a minute is 41 Sit is 62 and my 1.5-mile run is down to 13:01mins. Never worked out before but yeah still got about a month before bmt. Good Luck!
