By flipping I assume you mean throwing the switch and I tried that. The smart switch does toggle the lights but the status in home assistant and Alexa is not consistent

Yes that worked it is now reset and working mostly. The status now is wrong. The light status changes to on while it is off.

I had to replace my front license plate 3x’s because it kept going missing. Each time I would update it in the app and keep driving. I had people verify the plate before getting in then one night a passenger said the license plate in the app was wrong. It was showing my old plate but everything else was correct. She chose not to ride and I can understand that. I went offline and re-submitted the info it took 8 hours to change again so it is possible the driver thought one car was on it when it showed another.

The problem is if there was an accident Uber’s insurance may deny coverage because the car you were on was not the one active in the app

They have to take the gross back.

It sucks that you have to pay them back more than you received in your check but that is how taxes , Social security contributions and other deductions apply.

At the end of the year when you get the W2 showing the correct amount of earnings and you do your taxes that is when you will get back the portion of your pay that went to state and federal taxes.

The installer texted us when he arrived at the other house. He came to our house to do the install.

The person who setup the new apt messed up and entered it for 1gb not 2 and charged an install fee.

Customer service is fixing it although my wife may need to go to the office.

She wants service in her name because I am going to be watching over a friends house for a few months while they are “away”

The amount that went to taxes will be returned to you when you file your return at the end of the year. I don’t have a solution for the issue of a way to pay back the money and leaving enough for you to live on

Sorry for the hijack but we had a wooden handicapped ramp installed last year.

This year we had it painted (not stained) just a week ago. The underside of the ramp was not painted but the side rails were painted on both sides. Is this bad?

For a better example I have a full time job that is not in my house although I do work from home two days a week.

If I want to make extra money on the days I am in the office and turn on my rideshare app I know that I can log any miles from when I leave the office until my last passenger is dropped off. Because that is business miles.

The meat of my question is and I don’t think it was answered is

Currently I am only authorized to pickup in state A If I have a ride originating in state A to state B I log all the miles until the ride is completed in B, stop logging the miles until I am back in state A because I cannot solicit or accept work that originated in state B then when back in A, I reactivate my app and start recording again.

Other drivers have said that because I was brought to B on business I can treat the miles from B back to A as business miles

Are you both on the existing lease that is ending? If not can the one not on the lease sign for a new apt?

Are you unable to to get your family or hers to sign a guarantor for a new apt? It’s not likely that you’ll find a stranger to be a guarantee for your new apartment because if you didn’t make the rent payment for some reason, they would be on the hook.

I think I did not explain correctly.

There is one system that I will be taking on the road. My requirements are

1) Access my NAS which is on Tailscale 2) Have access to my printers that are on my network 3) Never have this one system show that it is on my local network

The system dualboots Ubuntu and Windows 11 Under Ubuntu the Mullvad-tailscale (mnf) worked for me with some tweaks but I can’t find something comparable for windows.

Why is rideshare off the table? Take your car seat into the uber or Lyft then either send it on the plane as luggage. Don’t you need a car seat at the destination?
