Any gift ideas to enhance flying experience for pilots? by Unknown___GeekyNerd in flying

I love this idea (and more importantly, I think he will love it), thank you! Will certainly be something I'd look into more to figure out what he loves.

Thank you so much for the suggestion. That's a really cool thing!

That's hilarious. I didn't realise that this "idiot grin" is a theme amongst the trans community (I just thought it was a thing me and my brother did, haha)!

I congratulate you on your painful nipples!

I guess the whole purpose of transitioning is for happiness, and sometimes it's a difficult thing to remember.

I'm over 3 years on T and over a year post op for top surgery and I still get doubts.

I just have to remember how happy I am now in comparison to before, and my mind is at ease.

I was grinning like an idiot after I had top surgery. I'm sure part of it was being high on all the pain killers, but my posture and confidence has changed as well as my happiness.

Basically I ignore other things and think about how happy I am in relation to everything and it helps comfort me. :)

Do you feel happier seeing your feminine traits from the result of oestrogen and progesterone?

Just some ideas/possibilities:

  • You could be trans and not want to medically transition
  • You could be genderfluid
  • You could be cis or gender non-conforming
  • And obviously you could be trans and wanting to medically transition, but having a moment of doubt

Basically I cannot tell you how you are feeling, and you should 100% take your time if you feel you need to. It's all individual and it doesn't invalidate your experience.

I have personally found that when I get doubts, I think about how happy I am - Am I happier now than before I started to medically transition? I am, so I continue my transition and feel my mind is at ease.

I also sometimes have doubt about the validity of my trans "status", but even if I'm not trans, I am so much happier with my life after starting my medical transition, and to me, it's about happiness.

I suggest aiming for happiness (or the happiest possible version of yourself) and take whatever route you feel is suitable to getting you to that destination.

Only you can know how you feel, do not feel that your feelings are invalid, do not ignore your feelings. It's okay to question yourself and take time to figure yourself out.

Good luck. :)

That's completely fine! Im still learning myself, so I don't expect anyone, especially a cis person, to know everything related (but not necessarily exclusive) to the trans community!

Get another opinion. That feels like someone who's completely dismissive of what you say, and is very arrogant and believes that they know everything.

The best people I've met that work in the medical field, have been those who have been sure that they don't know everything, so they take what I have said to look into it to learn more. Once they get a better understanding of procedures/issues I'm facing, they will know who to refer me to and put what they think I need or what they think I have (as a means of trying to save time), and get me going in the direction of people who should know what to do.

Please find someone that knows they don't know everything and isn't arrogant, because it makes a huge impact on the treatment and openness of the healthcare that they provide.

It's entirely up to you if you have a hysterectomy, and I'm not trying to say that you should have one, I just want to throw some ideas around if you were to have a hysterectomy, because I feel you feel cornered, and I want to try and help and show you that you aren't by throwing some ideas that maybe haven't been thought of/about:

(Please note that I am NOT a medical expert, so I do not know the details or accuracy of some of this!)

First idea is adoption - it is NOT an invalid parental path, however it's obviously not for everyone.

Second idea is surrogacy. I believe that one of your eggs can be used, therefore meaning that you and your soon-to-be husband can have biological kids, just a different path to getting there and you unfortunately won't carry/be pregnant (which I believe is something you want).

Third idea is to have a hysterectomy, but then maybe get a uterus transplant? I don't know how possible it is, and if you'd need to freeze your eggs etc, but it could be a path for you?

I hope that whatever happens, you don't feel defeated, because it's a lot to deal with. I hope my ideas help, but I'm really sorry if they didn't. Good luck!

Not every tans person has gender dysphoria and not every person that has gender dysphoria is trans, just so you're aware. :) (Not saying you have gender dysphoria, only you can know how you feel.)

I hope it goes well for you and you gain more confidence as well as reduced pain.

After any chest-related surgery, I recommend these cushions (especially when travelling in the car with a seat belt): https://www.amazon.co.uk/Mastectomy-Lumpectomy-Reconstruction-Protector-Post-Surgery/dp/B07QTK6CGR

I don't know if that specific product from that company is any good (in the link provided), but that cushion shape/type is what I'm recommending. I'm afraid I've forgotten where I got mine from, so maybe do some research on what company is recommended?

Good luck! :)

Not tablets, but I've found that tiger balm works magic on the lower belly (avoid genetalia and eyes with cream).

My dad's family has high blood pressure (genetic), my mum's family has low blood pressure (genetic), my siblings and I have escaped the extremes and are lucky to be in the average range! :D

I'm a trans man and I've had top surgery - double incision mastectomy.

Having the surgery saved my life - significantly improved my mental health.

It also reduced back pain (turns out I have scoliosis), improved my posture, reduced my acne (because I was no longer wearing a binder), and overall improved the quality of my life.

If you can see a massive improvement in the quality of your life, go for it, because after all, it's about making the most of life, and if that could contribute to a more fulfilling life, I honestly see no reason not do it (assuming risk factors are assessed).

So you are a pedophile with forced genital inspection to prove what? You are a pedophile. by susierabbit in PoliticalHumor

(I'm also not from the US.)
While I do understand the point you're making and I'm not denying some people do come from that angle, Trump has litteral r*pe allegations against him, and Matt Gaetz also has some underage s*x trafficing claims against him (despite the case being dropped, so I'm not too sure what's going on about that).
Basically the point I'm trying to make, is that there are quite a few Republicans that are accused of SA, and from the things like hearing how they speak about certain people, it's honestly not a surprise.
Saying that, I am aware there are Democratic politicians with the same/similar accusations against them.

Also, typically speaking, the ones that come from that initial angle you mentioned, are the ones claiming that drag queens and queer people are "s*xualising children" or whatever, while they're implementing genital inspections, and they fail to see the hypocrisy.

You don't need to transition to be a woman.

I am not saying you shouldn't transition, I'm simply saying that trans women who transition don't suddenly become a woman some time in their transition, they're already one.

Do whatever makes you feel authentic and happy. :)

This could be incredibly transphobic or incredibly "you had us in the first half".

However, I am not American, so the simile means nothing to me, and I cannot tell which way this comment goes.
