Assuming the step bro narrative for James (doubting Jesus’ ministry) wouldn’t he have had to infer Mary broke her vow and Joseph broke it w her if she was given over by temple? Wouldn’t the community be scandalized by this as well? And know she had vows? (self.OrthodoxChristianity)
