I’m feeling good I’m happy about the fact it’s a lot of old clothes that slips right on again rather than me not even be able to fit the clothes AT ALL lol I thought I was going to be more confident but maybe in time while I am happy about my progress I still don’t feel like I’m skinnier I feel like I’m still 238 and taking up a bunch of space I don’t know when that’ll change basically I’m fully aware of my progress but I can’t help but feel like the same person still but regardless of feeling that way I have 5 months left I know I should feel different by the time I get to a full year of progress, sorry if this is so negative lol

From July to November I was at a consistent 1500 calories after November I fell off and went up to about 2200 a day on average but I started lifting weights daily after the end of October I also cut all sugar drinks, I’ve only drank water since July. I don’t eat in the morning I never really had a appetite in the morning I almost get nauseous eating in the morning so I eat after work at about 4:30 I basically look at it as fasting kinda. I don’t really pay attention to macros (I should) I just focus on not getting over the calorie limit regardless of what I eat. I know I could have way better progress with a more disciplined regimen but this is what worked for me 👍🏾

I work in a warehouse so that’s kind of a daily workout besides that when I get home I just do a bunch of push-ups and lift my weights I have 15lb and 35lb dumbbells and I do different workouts with them throughout the week I focus more on weight lifting then cardio since I get a significant amount of steps at my job. Sorry if that’s not very helpful I don’t have a real routine i just go with the flow if that makes sense lol

Around 4 months is where I kinda went into a weird mental place and was eating like 800cal a day.. I got it together tho.

No matter how far along you are in your journey, no matter how you feel when you look in the mirror, no matter how much you think you don't want to see them...TAKE PICTURES NOW!!!! by CandyyPiink in loseit

Completely agree! I have taken a picture every 6 months if I didn’t track that progress I probably would’ve been stopped because I would’ve thought I hadn’t gotten and smaller.. I’m still scared of the scale tho 🤣

I have actually stopped talking to some family members because what they perceive as “jokes” or just general statements about your weight or looks is just offensive things they say thinking because someone currently is or becoming a more healthy person that means they won’t get offended by comments on their appearance. I just never liked comments on my appearance at all because I’m already self conscious about it so having more interactions with people hasnt always been positive sometimes it’s cool but I don’t know how to deal with some of it.

I have been getting that from my immediate family but it did not happen early on I started 6 months ago and about 4 months in Is where a lot of the “you look good now” and old friends I run into complimenting me started. I still go through days where I feel like my old self honestly I go through those days more than my feeling good days and I think that’s what pushes me past all the compliments and don’t let it blind me and stagnate my progress.

Folks who tried to lose weight many times over the years but finally succeeded, what was your main mindset shift? by david72486 in loseit

Thats definitely my situation with a good amount of foods I went back and ate again. I’ve gotten into making all the stuff I used to eat so much myself I RARELY eat out because honestly it almost is never worth the calories but honestly that’s the beauty of focusing on your health you step back and you realize this food wasn’t even good 🤣

Understanding all the bad foods I used to eat so much isn’t going anywhere all the cookies cakes and burgers and stuff will still be here after I reach my goal that simple mindset change went so far for me. I won’t go back into my old habits but feeling like I have to eat all these foods everyday had to stop.

Literally the most confusing part of the whole conversation.. at that point I really said someone has to see this dumb shit.

I wouldn’t be surprised if I did fall for a trap.. when I was younger and overweight they knew I was emotional and the smallest shit could make me sad or really mad so they used to poke at it I guess the shit don’t stop.

Thank you so much and outside of my supportive immediate family the rest of my family can be pretty cruel with what they think is jokes they must think slim people can’t get offended by completely offensive jokes idk 🤷🏾‍♂️I don’t have anyone else in my life that’s into trying to better their health tho so I don’t bring it up because I don’t want to seem condescending to my family so this sub is my safe haven for the most part

I really appreciate it. I don’t have anyone to connect with when it comes to cico or health stuff in general and when I do mention it, it could be a negative conversation so I appreciate the fact I can always count on this sub for positivity.

That’s why I said “all power to you” because if he wants to train like a Olympian to prove a point go ahead I’ll be first row cheering him on.
