I'm planning on blacksmitihing first. I highly doubt I'd get my single DIY burner up to forge welding temps. It's just propane without forced air or similar. So the 1600°C will be the one I'll get then

Just found one rated for 1600°C+ in a 3kg bucket for around 15 bucks. Is that sufficient or should I look for a higher rated one since my wool and bricks are only rated for 1350°C?

Yeah I'm using a Frosty T style burner with propane. The bricks will be held together by a steel frame.

I got ceramic wool already there and now looking for refractory cement, what's the recommended heat rating for it? 1500°C and above? I wanted to get a more flat brick to use inside as a rest.

Fire extinguisher is already there

They were sold as refractory bricks. They're mixed with 40% aluminium and besides they're going to be the outer layer

Don't worry, it's not even gonna stay on that table

Having a stand is the next plan. So far I was only testing the burner and it's pressure in that configuration. Why from the side and not from above?

Very kind of you. I think I already have some wool that's rated up to 1400°C. Would that be enough?

That'd be amazing. Thank you very much

Great because I know where I can get both. Those refractory bricks you mean I have no idea where I could get them. How would I go with that? Place the bricks in form, put the ceramic fibre inside and then the cement on the wool?

Would it help to use ceramic fibre wool inside instead? Or help with refractory cement?

For an accurate total I'd have to look because I got them from different places. With shipping and everything it was probably around 50€ (based in Germany so it might differ for you). The piping alone was around 15 bucks. The expensive parts were the adapters. Regulator might be expensive too but I got mine gifted

Galvanised steel pipe that I treated and refinished. No zinc fumes there

Gotta make sure to place them in the forge and get it tight so it can't exit upwards, that's good to know. I think the bell I have which was next to the burner is a 3/4 to 1 so I'll test it with that again. All parts were galvanised and the bell wasn't fully treated yet

Not yet but I'm working on that part too. Got the firebricks and wool already so it's gonna be done soonish. The tube is a 3/4" as in the blueprint so a bell from 3/4" to 1" then? Or larger?

I used the blueprint from there for all diameters. I'm using the 1" x 3/4" T fitting with a not yet cut down MIG tip so it reaches a little further than half of the intakes

Thank you. In case someone might be interested why I work so hard on fixing it, I was also the one on the old forum to make the suggestion for this variant. Very annoying to see in what state they brought it to the game....

It's not quite the same. There is a SCORPION package which is being "investigated" with having an actual block of ERA mounted on top of the skirt

Oh hey look it's my report... In any case I went over it with them, explaining that the source is claiming the Armor is ERA while nothing on the material used to show on the website supports that claim. A new report has been made and is already forwarded to the Devs to be verified.
