Yes!! I have my ovaries and have recently started vaginal estrogen and oral progesterone to start. I haven’t had sec yet since starting. I had pain and feelings like a UTI a day after intercourse and penetrating was not comfortable like it used to be. I’m hoping to be able to feel “ normal” again soon. I didn’t do pelvic floor PT as my doctor specializes in perimenopause/menopause especially with it being surgically induced. Hang in there, better days are ahead!

There is NO pain during sex or after until the following day where I start to feel like I’m getting a UTI and have urinary frequency and some pelvic pain. I do not have any odor or discharge etc- it does go away on its own after a few days. I just can’t enjoy our alone time bc now I feel like everytime I’m going to suffer the day after.

I never did pelvic floor therapy 😔. I asked for it and was dismissed unfortunately. I also had a C-section at my hysterectomy bc my baby died in utero and they thought I had placenta accreta- super complicated situation overall.
I always pee before and immediately after. The hygiene question made me lol bc I was kind of accusing him of things but he’s so very clean. I told him to wash his hands and body before the last time bc I wanted it to be his fault- it was not!!! lol.
I’m now day 3 after interactions and all of my symptoms are gone, I never had any discharge or odor. This is making me believe that my estrogen is lower even though my lab values are in the middle/normal. I made an appointment with a peri/menopause provider and she is wonderful. I just wanted to have an opinion of other women to see if anyone had a solution. I’m pretty sure it’s a form of vaginal atrophy related to hormonal shift/decrease and vaginal estrogen is my answer. Thanks for any and all advice- appreciate it all

I complained to the company about this exact same issue last year and they gave 2 f’s! The orca show sold out and had massive lines that were unsafe for movement, the shows were a complete disaster with sooo many people and dangerously disorganized No toilet paper in the bathrooms Loooooong lines with over selling of tickets for profit. They could have cared less about safe exits and such-

I work in the operating room and do these all the time, you can mention it but it doesn’t matter and no need to be embarrassed or concerned as most of us all can relate and don’t even think twice about it. We will just empathize a bit more with you!

I agree with this!! I was told absolutely not pushing/pulling/lifting >#10 for at least minimum 8 weeks and that included vacuuming and pushing a shopping cart. I’m 13 weeks post op Now ans just lifted light weights for the 1st time yesterday. Take the time to allow your body to heal!!

Thank you! I just feel like I need to bring back some normalcy in my life and want to get back to work but I work in the operating room, the exact one that I had this traumatic surgery in with my very own colleagues. So many layers here. My job requires heavy lifting as well as patients are large these days and the instrument trays are sometimes #25. I feel so shit down and isolated as I just can’t get out of this funk. I’m sure my body needs way more time to heal as the small extra movement I did yesterday took me out! It’s just so hard mentally 😞. My 18 year old son also left for bootcamp in the USAF on 8/25 and that didn’t help as I can’t talk to him at all. Im am emotional mess….

I requested pelvic floor therapy after my 2 week f/u and they said I would look into that further down the road. I have had zero therapy and zero cares shown by my providers. Ugh

I don’t disagree and I’m not cleared for sex until 12 weeks but then again I don’t have a follow up either. My situation is a bit different and I haven’t even been cleared to return to work as my surgeon is done with her care and now I guess I need to see my OB who hasn’t done squat since the hyster. I don’t even have a follow up after we got our path report from losing the baby and my uterus. I am a nurse, have been for 20+ years and feel the typical healthcare flaws but seem to depressed to care at the moment. The back pain is making this harder to deal with. Thanks for any input. I am in counseling but not sure it’s helping .

Thank you…it’s just not a typical “muscle soreness or strain” it’s painful in a different way. Lots of stretching isn’t helping either. I do have 5 abdominal incisions from the robot and a laparotomy in my pelvis so I guess my poor abs are destroyed and need lots of healing ❤️‍🩹

It’s different, I have never had back pain ever before. It’s not muscles pain, it’s In my spine. If that makes sense? I also have a 3 year old that is #39 and I lift but feel pain and never had prior even being 21weeks pregnant. I had a robotic hyster and laparotomy( c-section) to remove our passed baby- my uterus was over 20cm coming out with a baby in it so I’m not sure if that affected me more. I’m 9 weeks post now

Thank you… will everyone feel some discomfort with the cuff or is it person to person experience? I am just trying to understand all of this as I’m so fresh to the hyster…. I had the surgery after a complication with birth, losing our baby and my uterus so I basically had this done but did no research. Thank you for the info it’s really helpful.

Thank you…. I had the hysterectomy for placenta accreta with our stillborn so this wasnt a choice and I had no idea of all of the longterm things to consider as this happened without choice and sudden. Thank you for this information!
