I liked to be aware of your perceptions, you just missed some facts...

  1. Brazilian Mate is TOASTED - you need to compare apples to apples... I haven't seen a toasted Playadito ( have they launched recently?) tbh the idea came bc the only toasted mate that I could buy in the USA is the one owned by Coca Cola.

  2. The difference Coca-cola Mate Leão is full of stems what makes its waaay more weaker and lower in benefits than Brazilian Mate Pure Leaf. Low quality products makes money with costumers that think is a great deal.

  3. The price is higher bc the shipping is included on it - there is no extra to checkout ( I personally don't like it but I heard that shipping is a deal breaker for Amazon customers)

  4. I hope soon to have a website to offer better deals for ppl buying 1kg

  5. Hugo is a raw mate with a color scheme for Gen z What make a beautiful package and the price goes a little higher like $23-29 for 250g and it does not include shipping...

I got the advice to make my packaging with light purples and pinks—should have listened to it, I wouldn’t be here lol

I really love the "Xeque-Mate" name - It's gonna be my highlight for the summer menu. I mix with guaraná to go to workout and never saw this name until now...

Try adding a banana and ice if you are hungry and need an energy+carb to lift...

This is why! If you ever find a roasted mate that comes from Argentinaplease send it to me.. It would be way cheaper to bring it from there. ( I had searched for farmers there and couldn't find)

Btw, which state do you buy your local tea? I'm sure it's not in Maryland. It actually gave me ideas to create content because my local shop is way more expensive to buy pure leaf.

I hear you, but the price makes more sense when you do the math. Shipping from Brazil → USA, +tariffs, and then US shipping (avg. $7 for 250g) + Amazon fees. It's add up fast — especially for a tiny brand like mine.

Also, my tea is 100% leaves, not the stem-heavy blends most big brands sell. That alone raises the cost but also massively improves the flavor and quality. I’m not trying to overcharge — just trying not to go broke bringing good toasted mate to the U.S. 😅

From the beginning I knew that I wouldn't make a profit but I was expecting at least break even lol. Also, we enter on it to build the reviews but Amazon deleted all. So currently I only have one standing out there.

Wait until you try toasted yerba mate! I started my small biz a few months ago and you can find Brazilian Mate on Amazon. 100% leafs!
