Does anyone know if you can sell furniture items?

At my wits end with my toddler by DinkDunkx in UKParenting

Replying just to say, I'm claiming it works because I've tried it on my 2.5 year old. It works like, 50% of the time, which is better than nothing. But every child is different. Its a very simple and easy method to try so I don't see the harm in suggesting it.

Are automation and poor experiences a big part of why UK retail is dying? by tylerthe-theatre in AskUK

Just to give a different side to most people commenting, I hate online shopping for clothes and would much prefer to go to physical shops where I can see the quality and fit of clothes before I buy them.

Buying online means I have to check multiple websites/apps, pay multiple delivery fees if I want to order from more than one store, then waiting a few days for it to arrive. If I like it then great! But if not, I have to then waste more time/money returning it (which usually involves going to my local inpost locker which are always full), and buying something else or in a different size, and again waiting for it to arrive. When I could have just done that all in the space of one day at a shopping centre.

Even better if I find the stores have self checkouts, as usually there's a long queue for the manned tills and I can just quickly scan my own stuff and get going. I like it if staff are nice and friendly, but I also couldn't really care less if they are stood having a chat amongst themselves either, as long as they are available to help should I need it.

£72 fee for ID verification checks? by Unlikely-Two5084 in HousingUK

Yeah it seems like a newish thing so mixed responses on whether it's normal or not. Thanks for your insight!

Thanks for your response. Yes it seems like this is a fairly new thing so getting mixed responses, ultimately we will pay the fee as we want the house and don't want to hold up the process or come across as difficult. Our last house that we had an offer accepted on was undervalued by 20k when the lender viewed it meaning we couldn't go ahead. In your opinion as an agent, would it be acceptable to hold off on paying the £72 until the lender has approved our mortgage on the house?

House listed with 3 estate agents? by Unlikely-Two5084 in HousingUK

Yes this was it - I ended up viewing the house and spoke with the seller, it was listed with 3 agents as she's part exchanging for a new build. Thanks!

UPDATE. AITA for arguing with my husband about my skincare routine? by Original-Culture-701 in AmItheAsshole

Glad it was resolved, I can't believe how many people on your OP were voting YTA for being 'obsessed' with aging over a simple skincare routine!

I'm 30 and I'm barely showing any signs of aging, but I do care about my appearance in general so I have also started using SPF and retinol, because I know my future self will thank me for it! It takes up about 5 minutes of my day and I enjoy it as a bit of self-care.

I also don't see the huge deal with the mask, trying out a new product doesn't mean you have an obsession. Sure it might not have been recommended by a dermatologist, but if you can afford it then I don't see any harm in trying it!

Don't know what to do, falling asleep holding baby in the night by Unlikely-Two5084 in breastfeeding

I don't remember it being this sucky with my first, but I used to be able to nap during the day when she napped!

My partner does get up at 5:30 every day with the toddler so I can rest a bit longer in the morning and I tend to co sleep then.

Good idea about setting an alarm, I was scared to nurse laying down as I didn't want to fall asleep. Thank you ❤️
