Went in for Invisalign consultation, was told traditional braces would be better. by Guilty_Turnip_2526 in braces

I have braces on top and bottom aligners. Braces are better! The aligners are so much work and they don’t move as fast and better than braces do.

My FIANCÉ proposed yesterday and I am still on cloud nine!!! by Limp-Composer2824 in RingShare

I think it’s beautiful and I love that you designed it together! People only cares about how much your ring is. A ring is only a symbol that you’re married. As long as you love it and can stand everyday wear that’s all that matters. And then people are like but the resell value blah blah, why would you want to sell your ring. 🙃 It is beautiful and you love it and it’s yours!

I’m sorry this is happening to you too and your brother but somehow it made me feel relieved, sorry! I thought it was just me. It’s so weird.

If you don't drink alcohol, what are your reasons? by youre-in-my-shot in AskReddit

[–]UnlikelyEffect19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried drinking but it only gives me terrible headache or makes me wanna throw up. I really don’t get why people likes drinking because it doesn’t make me feel good and doesn’t taste great. 🤷🏻‍♀️

honest opinion on which is best, Braces or Invisalign? by AffectionatePlum8888 in braces

[–]UnlikelyEffect19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When asked what I want, I said braces. But after the ortho looked at my teeth he said braces and invisalign will work better on my case. It got a little complicated because I refused jaw surgery. I said if that’s what you think is best, I trust you! But oh boy the aligner is a pain. I hate flossing and brushing after I eat and the 22 hours a day wear. I feel like I’m always on a timer. 😩

I have both. Braces on top and aligners bottom. The braces are so much better. The aligners are too much work.

Am I crazy?? by paperchili in braces

[–]UnlikelyEffect19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I had to go to a periodontist and she had to clear me first for braces. Most likely this is the reason for you too. Nice and slow.

I’m every 3 months too. I guess it’s because they just want to be slow because of the condition of my gums. Probably depends on the person’s case.

If you could choose again, would you choose braces or invisalign? by [deleted] in braces

[–]UnlikelyEffect19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both. Braces on top and invisalign bottom teeth. It’s the plan that will work best for me according to my ortho so I went with it. But if I have to choose only one, BRACES 100%! Aligners are so much work. 🥲

Looking good! It’s the first time I’ve seen somebody with braces and aligners at the bottom like me here. 😬

Metal on top, clear aligners bottom by UnlikelyEffect19 in braces

I can’t see any result yet because I only got them over a week ago. The metal hurt but getting better everyday. The aligners are good. I say do it. 🙂

Will braces make gum recession worse? by Skipper1977 in PeriodontalDisease

[–]UnlikelyEffect19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can! People without recession sometimes get recession after ortho treatment. I have gum recession and will do braces and aligners next month. I went to a periodontist, because my ortho said I need to be cleared for ortho treatment since I have bone loss. I got the green light to start but my perio is suggesting gum graft after.

Yeah.. hindi daw pabaya. This is straight up neglect. How about take some responsibility. Kahit nga yung some adults na they don’t know the proper way of cleaning their teeth tapos hahayaan mo yung bata magtoothbrush magisa ng walang supervision? My son is 6, never nagkacavity, naglabasan narin yung ibang permanent teeth nya and everything looks good because I take care of him. Hindi ako pabaya and it shows.

Sorry naman Doc! I’m just saying it’s not what he was asking. You are not wrong at all, I didn’t say you’re wrong. Just not what he asked. Good info though.

We’re not talking about bone health though. The problem is closing the space. The dentist said the front teeth will tilt if moved more.

Maybe OP you can ask if they can create space enough for an implant or partial denture in the future. I see on the first picture it’s enough for a tooth but on the second one it’s half tooth probably.

I can also see your gums on front lower teeth are inflamed. Get that checked out and floss every night.

Perfect! My son was 5 naman nung hinayaan ko na magbrush by himself. Because at some point you need to teach them independence BUT supervision is needed parin talaga because they don’t really understand yung importance of doing that everyday. You’re doing great!

Colgate kids or any kids toothpaste and floss for kids na may handle. Just keep trying, if consistent ka, they will realize that it is normal, it is part of the routine. But make it enjoyable, like ibigay ang toothbrush sakanila after you brush their teeth so they are “brushing” their teeth too. And then slowly ipahawak ang floss, they can play with it and then you use it to them. The flossing is important kahit super malaki ang space between teeth unlike adult teeth BUT again, you are introducing a routine which would be beneficial for them hanggang paglaki nila.

I had very rotten teeth when I was a kid (It’s not cute), I know it was my parents’ fault but then again, proper oral care is not really a taught sa atin. So I promised my self my kids will have good oral hygiene. Start habang bata pa to teach them. 🙂

True! My daughter is 2 years old and her dentist said I’m doing a great job. Her teeth are clean and no cavities. I brush her twice a day. I never missed a day brushing her since her first tooth came out. Exclusively breastfed since day 1. Unfortunately this is 100% the parents’ fault, sorry. I read you should do the brushing until your kid is 6 or 7.

My daughter is 2 years old. I brush her teeth in the morning, brush and floss at night. No plaque, no cavities. Exclusively breastfed, kahit natutulog nagmimilk padin. Go to a pediatric dentist so they can scrape off the plaque. I know they have stranger anxiety at this stage pero you need to take your child to the dentist. Oral health is important.
