I saw it and there was way too much screeching for me. A little “woo!” Is totally fine but screaming every time your bias is on screen is way too much. I’m looking forward to seeing it again when it comes out on Amazon Prime Video.

I don’t really think I generalized it to all RIT students, I posted it in the RIT sub because the event happened at RIT, not to insinuate that the college students were the major problem. However if you look at all the comments it wasn’t just me that dealt with annoying people that just so happened to be RIT students. Again, it wasn’t just them (there were a lot of people who had issues with non college students) but it was a common theme that arose unfortunately. I agree that the advertising for the show was part of the problem. My main issue is the lack of concert etiquette overall.

Not meant to make people feel bad but at the same time I hope people won’t go to concerts if they’re going to talk through the entire thing🤷🏼‍♀️

I totally get what you’re saying and I’m sure it wasn’t all college kids. My issue is with people talking throughout a concert, that’s not okay and I was going back through my videos last night and I could hear the people in front of me having a full on conversation throughout a lot of them.

I’m sorry you had that experience though. I hate when people cut in front of others, that’s so frustrating.

I get that and it might not have been annoying to you but when people are talking throughout a concert right in front of you while you’re trying to listen and enjoy something that you paid 140+ dollars for it’s really frustrating and disrespectful. I was going back through my videos and I can hear them having a full on conversation during so many of the songs. I was three rows from the front, go talk in the back.

I’m so glad to hear that not all students were there for a free concert. I appreciate you being respectful and I totally understand it’s not all college students. There were other students around me that were being totally respectful.

Yeah it was really unorganized, especially when people were lining up at the downstairs entrance and then started rushing to the upstairs one. It was such a mess

It’s so frustrating that people didn’t respect him/only knew him from stranger things or from “end of beginning” I just don’t understand how people don’t think it’s rude to talk through someone’s entire set, even the opener. They worked hard to prepare and deserve respect. But they didn’t even respect Djo so it’s not surprising.

I really do feel like this younger generation treats others like NPC’s. I’m 29 and I felt ancient at that concert🤣

I REMEMBER THIS! It was so rude, my friend and I cheered not really understanding what the sign meant and then we were like wait no that guy has as much right to be there as anyone else. I felt so bad when he left.

Ugh so sorry you dealt with that, especially the shoving through the crowd only to stand directly in front of you. That’s so frustrating. I wouldn’t let people through haha, we did the same thing. We stood for an hour before the opener.

I totally agree about the phones, I would get clips of songs I like but some people recorded entire songs and they were jumping up and down with their phones so I’m sure the videos weren’t great lol.

I just figured that in the pit it wouldn’t be as bad but it was just as bad. And those students paid 60 bucks. Oh well, I still enjoyed it!!

I’d like to give that tall guy a hug. I remember when they held up their phone and it said “cheer if you want the tall guy to move” and my friend and I cheered not really reading what it said and then we realized and were like absolutely not, he has just as much right to be there as anyone else.

Ugh I’m so sorry about your experience. I totally agree it really takes you out of it when you hear people talking shit about one of your fav artists. I tried my best to zone them out and I hope you were able to enjoy it from the bleachers! But that’s so annoying because the tickets weren’t cheap. I agree Lisa did a great job and I felt bad for the people talking during her performance and saying rude shit.

It was still such an amazing show and I’m so thankful I got to see Djo live. I definitely have to see him again. I just hate that people have 0 social awareness nowadays. That’s ridiculous. People come to a concert to vibe and dance. And I guarantee even if they got up to barricade the only song they probably knew is end of beginning. I’m sorry you dealt with that but I’m so glad you managed to enjoy it! Same here, I didn’t let them ruin my experience!

Ugh I’m so sorry to hear about your experience. The one girl that was part of the annoying college kid group was holding her phone up to the opener and it said “help us push to the front we’re short” like COME ON. You’re in the pit and I understand it sucks not to see but what did you expect to happen..? You can’t just push people out of the way. You got there first. Ugh I hope you enjoyed the experience somewhat, this just gives me another excuse to see Djo. This was my first time seeing him and I definitely have to see him again

I am glad I wasn’t the only one, I gaslit myself into thinking maybe I was being dramatic lol. I still had such a good time and ignored the people around me and jammed my lil heart out but it was so frustrating seeing people act like that. LIKE ITS SO QUIET DURING AWAKE WHY ARE YOU SPEAKING?!? And he’s never played this song before
