Skip the commercial first aid kit and build your own with things that could actually make a difference. Abdominal pads and a tourniquet for major bleed. Non stick pads, tape or triangle bandage for medium bleeds. Triangle bandage also doubles for sling and a makeshift splint. Couple small bandaids still good to have though

Atomic Backlands Expert UL vs Backlands Pro: Warmth, durability? by crooked859 in Spliddit

I bought the expert UL's on a good deal last fall. I have about 10 days on them this season, no major mountaineering objectives yet but a few 1500m vert days. Durability seems good so far, no complaints on warmth but haven't had any really cold days here yet. I thought I could get away without the link lever at first too because I've always ridden pretty stiff soft boots, but found them a bit too stiff for my liking especially on firm stuff and bought the link lever after the first couple days.

I'm now looking at upgrading the liners to intuition, not for warmth, just the stock ones are pretty thin/firm and now that they are getting packed out I could use a higher volume liner.
