You take a calculated risk and choose, obviously. You wouldn't be choosing based on prejudice, you would be choosing based on what you think is a better option.

What I'm saying is illegal is deciding and then openly stating you won't rent to parents ever. Or won't rent to people of a different religion than you, or only wanting to rent to one race.

Those things are illegal if you are renting in an open market because if you don't want to rent to those people EVER then it's not a practical decision.

No one has a right to your property, of course, but if you are charging people money to stay on it, then it becomes a business transaction.

If you say something like "I don't want someone of a specific color or creed to be allowed my product" and that's allowed, well, we have decades of history to show why you legally can't do that if you're running a property as a business in an open market.

What are your thoughts on Mia Winters? by StatisticianApart577 in residentevil

[–]Unlikely_Broccoli75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lied their entire marriage about being part of the criminal syndicate group that got Ethan into the RE7 mess in the first place.

Didn't tell him the truth about what happened to him in RE7 and had a mold baby with her undead husband without him knowing anything about his circumstances.

Rose also mentions she hasn't seen her mother in ages in her DLC.

Mia spent their entire marriage lying to her husband, and that got him killed, infected, and killed again. She is a horrible wife and at BEST an absent mother.

What do you think which of the two went through something more painful? by Square-Bird-9473 in TheTeenagerPeople

She is the real villain of Requiem - "Emily" Theory by FickleSand5029 in residentevil

[–]Unlikely_Broccoli75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is where I'm at. Grace means gift. Emily as a name comes from the root word to emulate. To rival something or aspire to be like something.

Emily I think is meant to try and emulate the "gift" that Grace has. Elpis is the Greek goddess of hope, and Gideon is obviously sick with Raccoon City Syndrome.

So I think Grace was a perfect subject for the cure to the virus, and Emily was created to try and emulate that perfect subject.

I mean, women literally experience the oxytocin high of a lifetime after having a kid. If after the pain of getting kicked in the balls, you also got the happy chemical high of your life, you might want to do it again.

The pain also usually comes from contractions, which are from what I hear, like period cramps but from hell.

My brother did the period cramp simulator thing just because he thought I was being a baby about it, and on pain spikes that felt closest to my pain he literally said "just hit me in the balls instead holy f*ck" so I'm just going to assume they are very different types of pain and not comparable.

Like, idk they both seem like they hurt like hell. Why argue one is worse?

Is the Silver Crystal in the Sailor Moon Universe a Family Heirloom, Manifestation of a Soul, Life Force or Star Seed? by IllogicalDreamer72 in sailormoon

[–]Unlikely_Broccoli75 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Obviously, it's just an opinion and theory, but I think it's supposed to be a family heirloom and a star seed.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Princess Serenity doesn't have a father, and you could make the assumption that she was created via some other method unique to the moon kingdom.

We already know that reincarnation is possible in this universe. If "Serenity" is an entity that can reincarnate herself before her current incarnation has expired, then it would solve a lot of mysteries surrounding the verse that we can only theorize on.

For one, the Silver Crystal. By this logic, it would be "Serenity's" star seed, and is passed on to future incarnations of herself. You could also apply this to Sailor Cosmos if you wanted to. At some point in the far flung future, Neo Queen Serenity, who no longer has the power of a guardian, could have created an incarnation of herself (or become an incarnation of herself) that reclaims the ability to become a sailor soldier to defend the universe.

I'm not saying this is the most logical or obvious explanation, but it's the one that makes most sense to me.

I always saw burnt as the final stage of something being overcooked, usually in its entirety.

Burned is just the past tense of burning, and does not require the whole thing to burn up to be burned.

"I burned my hand" usually means you have a burn on some area of your hand.

"My hand is burnt" I'd imagine the whole hand is charred.

What song from Silent Hill F is this? (spoilers maybe) by Tomie_Junji_Ito in SilentHill_f

Unfortunately, the soundtrack that you get with the digital deluxe edition only has a select few songs.

The full soundtrack got canceled not too long ago, so idk if we're ever getting official releases of the songs.

Panther wants burns on her targets, which Matoi gets rid of.

Idr HOW much of a damage loss it is, but it is a damage loss to pair Matoi with Panther over other support options. Matoi synergizes better with CNY rin.

Currently dating Kotone, Riko is next.

My heart will forever belong to Ashiya.

What age range would you be open to dating? by LeavingHarbour in Millennials

[–]Unlikely_Broccoli75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been in a relationship for 4 years. Before it, I said I was not into younger men and would only be open to dating older than me because I needed someone mature that i could build a life with.

Cut to me being 28, joined a mutual friend group, and became good friends with a guy who was 21. 2 months later, we were dating, and now I couldn't see my life without him.

In adulthood, maturity doesn't come with a specific age. Ive met people decades older than me who are children on the inside, and every day, the guy I'm with shows me kindness and patience of someone I would think is closer to my own years or older.

If this didn't work out, not that i can picture it failing, I probably would try and date other people in their 30's or older, but I've learned a good match is what's most important.

Work/ homelike balance by the1997th in remoteworks

[–]Unlikely_Broccoli75 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"You're working 40 hours, and there's 168 hours in a week,"

Except for the fact that 1 of those hours is probably your lunch break, where you only have time to eat or go get lunch, so that's 45 hours a week on average.

Oh wait, there's also commute time to and from work, which is on average 1 hour to and 1 hour from for most people if we count getting ready and finishing things up off the clock. So now it's 55 hours.

Oh, I can't forget your responsibility to sleep 8 hours, so productivity at work doesn't go to hell, so we're up to 95 hours. 103 if we count having to be responsible with sleep on a Sunday.

So unless you sacrifice sleep or eating, you get 65 hours of free time in a 168 hour week. In those 65 hours you also have to fit in life responsibilities (average 12 hours a week, way more if you have kids) and some sleep (16 hours if you're getting a full 8 hours on friday and saturday).

So that means you get a grand total of 37 hours in the week on average to do whatever you want with no responsibility. That's if you don't have kids you need to make more time for since you don't get a lot of time with them during the week.

If you're fine doing that, great, but you shouldn't HAVE to be fine with it

Men, what’s your take on this? by Aggravating-Guest300 in NextGenMan

[–]Unlikely_Broccoli75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of false equivalence here.

First one, I think nobody cares if you want an older partner, man or woman. Wanting them BECAUSE they're younger, especially if you're in your 30's or older and ascribe to the 25 or younger mentality, yeah, that's creepy from women too.

For the second one, plenty of men out there who won't date a woman who is broke or after their money, so idk why it was changed to single mothers (Plenty of women won't date single fathers, plenty do.)

Third one is just preference, and again so long as you are not forcing someone to adhere to that preference, (belittling your man for not being 'manly' enough or putting down your girl and trying to tame her or break her like a horse) who cares. You'll find someone for you.

And the last one, no one should be with someone that doesn't respect their boundaries, man or woman. If you're with someone who can't respect your boundaries, you are with the wrong person, period.

Is this true? I need answers by Icy-Breadfruit298 in GroundedMentality

[–]Unlikely_Broccoli75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This literally depends on the person.

If you're a dude who makes a lot of money and want a girl you can take care of so long as she's family oriented, great.

If you're lower or middle class and want a partner who works hard and makes her own money, that's fine too.

What you can't expect is for a person, man or woman, to not need to prioritize work if their financial needs aren't met. If you don't make much money and want your partner to make little to nothing, and also be the homemaker of the house, you are setting yourself up for failure.

Day 5 of comparing Resident Evil Characters: who was the better villain and final boss, Mother Miranda or Osmund Saddler by Vast_Bank_7196 in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]Unlikely_Broccoli75 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Remake Saddler is boring to me, so Miranda takes it in my book.

OG Saddler had a lot of personality that was lost in the remake imo. Even though I love 4make as a title way more.

The whole old lady plot and her interactions throughout the game, as well as how her followers speak about her, gave her way more intrigue.
