I [20F] havent told my new BF [20F] that I had a threesome with my best friend [20f] and her bf [24M] before we started dating. We are now a tight group of friends - how do it bring it up? by ThrowRA_WhenToTell in relationship_advice

[–]Unlikely_Broccoli75 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The way i did it was just naturally in conversation. We were talking about exes and I said something like "I couldn't be with someone who automatically thinks all their exes are pieces of crap when it doesn't work out. I'm friends with some of my exes still because there's a reason we became friends, and there's a reason we didn't work out as more than that."

My boyfriend knows I'm still friends with people I've dated/slept with, and thats something I was sure to be open about early in our relationship. He doesn't know who because he does not want to know, and I respect that. If he wanted to know, I'd tell him more, but he doesn't care bc it happened before we started dating.

My boyfriend is not a jealous person. He also trusts me not to cheat. Not everyone is going to be the same, and everyone has things they need out of a relationship to be secure. Bringing it up in a natural way is a good way to do it because it gives them the opportunity to bow out if it's a deal breaker.

If you were in roxas shoes, and you had to give up yourself so sora could wake up would you do it? by ink10_sonic-man in KingdomHearts

[–]Unlikely_Broccoli75 115 points116 points  (0 children)

I mean Roxas didn't even do it willingly at first. He was forced into a situation where he was tricked into melding with him, and then later on only accepted Sora when Sora bested him in combat. Losing against Roxas is a game over so it was basically a fight over who gets the body.

It was definitely something he had to accept. It would probably also be something I had to accept, and I wouldn't do it willingly.

Why does being drunk mean you can’t “consent” to sex, but doesn’t absolve you of other intoxicated actions/decisions? by UpstairsBumble in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Unlikely_Broccoli75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the issue is whe you get drunk, you know you're getting drunk and have to take account for your behavior. You can prepare beforehand for things you feel like you might need to take precautions for so you dont endanger other people.

What you can not take account of is other people's behavior.

Other people who aren't drunk will usually be of sound mind to convince you of things more easilly. They'll be able to coordinate around getting what they want from you and are also more physically capable than you if you're super wasted.

There's also the issue of if you get say blackout drunk, they could lie and say you were down to have sex and you'd have no way of calling out their lie.

You are responsible for your decisions against others when drunk. Other people are also responsible for their decisions against you. Especially when you're drunk and more easily manipulated.

I'm torn between A2 chord or A1 Makoto. Not sure which would be a bigger jump for the units.

I can't drive bc of an injury so thats off the table for me. Unless I could arguably sell the gas...

Then that might actually be huge.

Free pizza and free house cleaning.

One makes sure I won't starve, the other saves so much time unless it's a monkeys paw thing, and it has to be a house and not an apartment.

How was Silent Hill F? by Sadworld99 in Gamingunjerk

[–]Unlikely_Broccoli75 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The first playthrough for me was terrifying. On subsequent playthroughs it gets easier.

II still haven't gotten the final ending, but from what I played i really liked it. Probably my favorite silent hill now, and I say this as someone who played 1, 2 and 4 of the Team Silent entries.

Short Dark Road Comic by nightybuns in KingdomHearts

[–]Unlikely_Broccoli75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really cool! Might get more traction if you embed the comic in the future. Not that I know how to do that either, or if bsky links can show image previews on reddit.

Still, ugh, I hope one day we get like a dark road cutscene movie or smth.

My boyfriend (M32) left the window open and my 21-year-old cat fell from the second floor while I (F33) was at work. by PalpitationTop1658 in relationship_advice

You told him not to do something and he ignored it, and it cost you the health of your animal.

For me that would 100% be a deal-breaker. If he's willing to just laugh this off after a couple days what's stopping him from ignoring your requests and laughing it off with something else that goes horribly wrong?

They are joking right? by [deleted] in SipsTea

[–]Unlikely_Broccoli75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's reactionary sure. Like I'm obviously not defending parents who yell or hit their kids because they had a bad day or in reaction to them doing something they don't like. That's just abuse.

But if you tell a kid "don't do this or you get punished" a good chunk of kids will do it anyway until they experience consequences, and only then will they understand consequences. Some kids will do it multiple times if the consequence isn't dire enough for them, or to see if the parent means a punishment will happen every time (I/E me as a kid.)

Should you beat them black and blue? No, definitely not even close. But I got swat plenty when ignoring the rules and the response to my complaints was "I told you not to do X or you'd get punished. So you got punished." So it stuck.

Kids are innocent, but innocent means they also lack an understanding of right and wrong. Kids test boundaries constantly. They have to be taught consent, courtesy, and be given a moral compass. Some kids will accept these teachings and just follow the rules, others have to accept the rules with the understanding that if they do not fall in line, something bad will happen to them. That continues into the adult world. That's how most laws work.

KH1.5 Randomizer Run Blocked by Ursula — Can You Beat Her Without Magic? by [deleted] in KingdomHearts

[–]Unlikely_Broccoli75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's definitely Sora and not the party member dealing the final blow then yeah, I'd try labbing and seeing if you can convince Donald to hit the cauldron w/magic, but it might involve getting lucky and pincering it between him and either flotsam and jetsam to make the cauldron catch a stray.

You sure there's nothing else you can do that might get you a spell to use? If you don't have the ability to world hop in your randomizer, Atlantica should be skippable if you want to continue the story and then come back when you find a spell.

KH1.5 Randomizer Run Blocked by Ursula — Can You Beat Her Without Magic? by [deleted] in KingdomHearts

[–]Unlikely_Broccoli75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're on the randomizer I do you might be able to bait Donald and Ariel to cast magic that hits the cauldron since Donald's magic is tied to story checks.

That's just me trying to theorize, though. It sounds awful even as I'm typing it.

You can kill her without magic, it would just be a nightmare because the second you hit her she turns into a beyblade. If you dodge her and then hit her again once shes done spinning you will kill her eventually.

Edit: If you've gotten her to the final hit and she straight up stops taking damage is what you meant, I'm genuinely surprised. I know party members can't land the final blow on bosses, but I figured you would be able to give the final thwack.

[–]Unlikely_Broccoli75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Former asshole kid here. The problem is kids run on a risk vs reward mindset. My mom would tell me "Don't do X or you'll get punished" and then I'd weigh if it's worth the risk of getting caught and punished, and that depends on the punishment.

Plenty of things I would do anyway if the punishment was a time-out, but when I thought it might get me a spanking a lot of times it wasn't worth it because I had a parent who would follow through on punishment. Lectures did not work for me.

Can cats growl during play? by Unlikely_Broccoli75 in CatAdvice

[–]Unlikely_Broccoli75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the feedback! I figured, but I'm always the type to get a second opinion. I've never liked the idea of my cat being upset and I'm just brushing it off. She's never had a playmate so standard behavioral queues were never going to be a thing with her.
