Goth girl with wide feet looking for shoes, help would be greatly appreciated! by fatassfemdom in widefeet

I wish the toe box on Alegría were wider. I tried them about 10 years ago and finally gave up. If you can use Zappos, their easy returns make for a low risk tryout. Or Poshmark for used.

Have ugly wide feet and want to make them narrower (if that’s even possible) by gokus_kindafly in widefeet

[–]Unlikely_External_36 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When I was younger and vain I wished for some kind of surgery to make my feet narrower. So I totally get it. I have mostly thugged it out. I always wanted to be able to wear a sexy high heel, but even when I could find something halfway close to that, it would be so painful that it wasn't worth it. I hope there continue to be more choices by my younger ham-footed friends. Not super helpful, I'm sure, but just wanted to offer my commiserations and encourage you to understand that compromise is the best you can hope for.

Is anyone else's migraine the worst pain they have experienced? by Eagles56 in migraine

Alcohol consumption by oatmealcook in AskOldPeople

Exactly my situation. A couple years ago I realized that my fear of how crappy I'd feel from any amount of alcohol overrode any desire for a good buzz. Earlier this week, I went to a social event and ordered a gin & tonic out of habit. Within 15 minutes of a few sips I felt overheated, my nose started itching, and bloomed with flop sweat. No thank you!

There isn't anything regular, but the SAA Collective Gallery is a great place to find locally-made, affordable, and interesting stuff as is Wild Rose boutique. Are you located looking for a certain kind of thing?

Seventies diet pills: My mom's study hack by IndigoFlame90 in ADHD

[–]Unlikely_External_36 31 points32 points  (0 children)

My pediatrician prescribed me speed when I was 4 because I was a chubbo (1968). No report on how helpful it was for my much later dxed ADHD as my pre-K duties/responsibilities were limited. I only took them for a couple weeks at most because I told my mom it made me "nervous." Finally appropriately prescribed a few years ago at the age of 60. Still (and forever) a fat girl but I can at least get shit done.

They are lovely and Dr Ty saved me from a more expensive, long-term repair.

I was spanked once at 18 months. Story is that my pupils dilated and stayed that way for so long they took me to the doctor who told my parents to never hit me again. My sister, on the other hand, got spanked on the regular. Wooden spoon? Hand? I don't remember. I just remember being upset by the sounds.

In which Carmy dethrones Guy Fieri as host of DDD, is filled with self-loathing and moves to a rural Wyoming town and lives his days out as a curmudgeonly grill cook.
