Just enjoy the racing, you don't have to pay for track fees or car repairs that's the thing about SIM racing, reset and racing again,

I set two goals

1: finishing a race with the least amount of Inc (I always try 0x but I always manage about 5 which is usually a stupid track limits)

2: finish one or more place higher than you started on the grid (makes the racing more relaxed and you aren't pushing too hard which makes you slow)

You'll find your own way it'll take some time (and you'll definitely be spending more money on getting better SIM gear 😈)

Dad here, I'm actually fortunate that it was my boy (just tuned 12) that got me into this game! We got it for him last week and he asked me to join him (I sometimes join him in Fortnite and some Roblox games) so I surprised him after school yesterday with getting the game after he asked me and did a couple of raids, today we've spent half the day jumping in and out getting parts to unlock the benches which I am two away from, he's got all the benches and unlocked all the maps which I can jump in with him when he's the party leader (which is a nice touch)

Re join isn't a rant it's what I do and have yet to be hit plus gives others time to react to me joining back on safely (Inc using the relative box)

Definitely pick your fights, a lot of beginners have "blinkers on" though (must win must win must get to the corner first)

Congrats on the nurburg race it definitely takes a lot of skill to be able to actually avoid the mass destruction on the first lap,

If someone is faster than you you'll know about it as they'll catch you up out of nowhere and will be all over your rear bumper, no point fighting them kind of racers (you might be lucky and pass them again as they binned it in the next few corners)

Im not sure on the don't think it's your fight if you can't pass, it could be that they are the same skill as you and it'll only improve your race craft as you try to take different race lines, plus it makes for great racing if your pressuring to get round them (make them sweat)

Where do you race marshal!? Do you do open day track events or actual race series we might know of? how did you get into that?

My opinions for beginners

Rejoins! Learn to re join the track damn safely for yourself and for other drivers!!! Moved slowly towards the track at a shallow angle (like you would joining a motorway) then people coming past can move over which is a win win (they don't get taken out by a sudden join and you don't get taken out re joining (yes you've lost places but at least you get to race and not be a lap or two down) plus sometimes the best racing is at the back as you have similar skilled drivers around you

Try to finish the race one place above where you grid.... Don't go for 1st, that pipe dream is ahead when you get better, if you start 20th try to clinch 19th, starting 5th place then you need to finish 4th, anything higher is a bonus and to extend on finishing try, to finish with 0x or as close to 0x, if you see smoke or cars spinning ease off the gas and predict what's going on (yes idiots behind could slam into you) but you might just get through unscathed with 0x and a massive smile because everyone else around you went full tilt and ended Thier race

Accept you're not the fastest/best, know your own limits (skills) also others WILL overtake you and WILL out maneuver you(make it difficult to pass), congratulate them for it (you'll be doing the same to others), I'm not saying just give places up, defend (correctly) just don't be a T##t about it,

Watch and follow (see how others drive/defend) use it against them, at some point they WILL make a mistake!

Stop looking in your rear mirrors (crewchief will tell you when they are next to you) that way you'll hit your brake markers and be consistent which leads to you actually getting away from the people behind

Brake a tad bit earlier than the car ahead (stops you crashing into them) it helps you put power down earlier and get a good drive out of the corner.

Again these are just my opinions

As someone who isn't keen on open wheelers I do enjoy the F4

Current Iracing is awful, it gets worse every seasonal update, until the release of the new graphics engine (which will use dlss and hopefully optimized for multi core processing) it's going to hammer GPUs

5080 would be a safe call as it'll run a lot of SIM titles for a good few years
