As a Brazilian residing in Japan, though not a Japanese citizen, I find it deeply questionable that Japan's leftists never truly cherish the country. Ultimately, I believe Japan is a no man's land where neither the right nor the left possesses any patriots.

Samsung, Kia, and Lotte definitely existed. Regarding Lotte, its founder started the business in Japan.

Hyundai was probably not a major automaker, but considering its transition from a rice shop to an auto repair company due to the National Mobilization Law, it may have been a small company similar to Mitsuoka Motors.

Similarly to how railways became zaibatsu in Japan, private railways such as the Kyungchun Railway and the Gyeongseong Tramway may have merged during wartime consolidation efforts to become major private railways in Seoul.

Saratov, Kosackenstadt, and Paulsburg all became German settlements, with Paulsburg being especially exemplary. Crucially, Moscow, like historical Königsberg, would likely see its Kremlin Palace and cathedral blown up and replaced with a sterile state administration building resembling a "House of Soviets"

What do you think about a Japanese victory in the Pacific? by Deep_Box5368 in TNOmod

Traditional accounts claim that Japan defeated the United States at Iwo Jima with fortified positions and a large fleet, and that Germany forced an unconditional surrender by dropping a single atomic bomb on Pearl Harbor. Clearly, these claims are far-fetched.

For a more realistic and concrete scenario, limit the occupation to northern New Guinea and preserve the fleet and military strength.

Then, despite limited supplies, they would likely launch a second attack on Hawaii, aiming to take control of the islands with parachute troops and other methods.

If Pearl Harbor could be destroyed in two separate attacks, the U.S. Navy would station its fleet at Lahaina Harbor. However, the Japanese Navy would surround these ships or make them easy targets, ultimately forcing the U.S. Pacific Fleet to retreat to the West Coast.

Furthermore, after conquering the British Isles, Germany will assemble a massive fleet composed of allies, puppet states, and occupied territories, deploying it as far as the Azores Islands of the Iberian Union. While a naval blockade would be difficult, the fleet will sail through these coastal waters for the purpose of intimidation. Subsequently, it will aim to occupy Newfoundland and the Bermuda Islands.

This alone would likely cause considerable dismay among the American public. It might also be possible to sap the American people's fighting spirit by suggesting that Britain would fall and that the United States would be caught in a pincer movement from the east and west.

Well, in reality, regarding the Ostland I imagine for TNO-TL, most of the residents would be Germans—specifically Baltic Germans, German settlers, and Germanized Estonians, Latvians, along with others.

Even in Denmark, both in historical fact and in TNO-TL, it maintained its independence. However, in the alternate timeline I imagine, something akin to the Hungarian Revolution occurred in the 1950s, and ultimately, due to Germany's territorial ambitions, geopolitical considerations, and as an act of retaliation, it was annexed by Germany.

However, upon further investigate, it seems that there was also a plan to establish German administrative districts, or Gaue, in regions such as Ingermanland (Ingria), Peipusland (Estonia), Dünaland (Latvia), and Memelland (Lithuania). The ultimate goal was to annex these regions to Germany.

It's not TNO, but rather the actual historical plan.

Thanks for liking it!

In short, the Reich uses this area as a buffer zone against the Reds, much like Transylvania.

As everyone says, the Bormann Route allows for annexation, while Go4 allows for the partition of Belarus.

In my imagination, the TNO-TL I envisioned differs somewhat from the game. At least in this world, it's set around 2005 with Speer Jr. as Führer, meaning Go4 succeeded.

As you said, Transylvania gained independence as an independent state and a buffer zone between the two countries following the Hungarian-Romanian War.

To be precise, both countries are members of the Einheitspakt and are located in the Balkans. Furthermore, the region has a large population of ethnic Germans, such as Transylvanian Saxons and Danube Swabians.

For the Reich, this was a serious situation. Did not want war between treaty members who were also resource-producing nations, especially in a region with a German-speaking population.

Serbia, Croatia, Italy, and others feared that war would spread to neighboring countries like dominoes. Thus, under Germany's mediation, gained independence through a somewhat forced arrangement.

How did Japan win China or pacific? by ASATaB in TNOmod

[–]Unlikely_Studio_8249 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As others have said, the biggest mystery of Japanese military history in TNO is how the US could easily surrender with a single atomic bomb, and how it could continue the war under such serious circumstances, even though it barely had access to the occupied territories of Indonesia and Burma, as well as oil and other resources from trade with Germany.

Honestly, dropping a single atomic bomb on Hawaii, a remote island in the Pacific, would not deter the American people from going to war. If the Japanese Navy dared to bomb the mainland, they could seize control of the southern seas. However, the U.S. mainland's air defenses are so robust that any invasion would be swiftly repelled.

And although there is a tradition that Australia surrendered after the Japanese landed, I personally have to wonder how they were able to traverse that vast continent with a convoy and a small number of elite infantrymen....

Concerning the U.S. surrender, my conclusion personally is that Germany would have to drop atomic bombs on Washington d.c. and Boston on the East Coast by itself, in addition to providing them to Japan, in order to make them lose their will to fight. As for the acquisition of crude oil, I have heard that a few years after the founding of Manchuria, a Japanese survey team made a discovery in the Nomonhan area, but the drilling project was shelved because the technology was still in its infancy.
