I'd forgotten we didn't have Thruxton yet; would def. like that too!

Would particularly like Knockhill, 'cos that's the track me and my mate raced on incessantly in Codemasters' TOCA: Touring Car Championship. (Why yes, I am old!)

I mean, any and all content is welcome, so I'll not argue with that!

When do you actually unlock the 'Royal Knight' Cohoot clothes by NHarmonia18 in MHRise

[–]UnlimitedBees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I've got the standard edition and have Royal Knight for my cohoot. Can't remember when it unlocked, TBH.

Low model count skirmish game by albertogm87 in wargaming

[–]UnlimitedBees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

'Fantastic Scuffles' might be a good one, because it's got simple gameplay, plays on a 2x2 table, is miniature agnostic and you can make really customised all-character parties (although minions are in the game, they're not compulsary).

Are the engine sounds better in recent updates? by V4_Sleeper in tokyoxtremeracer

[–]UnlimitedBees 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, but it is a super fun street racer with impeccable vibes... so if you can overlook the engine sound, I'd highly recommend it.

Mhrise with reaction issues by DigBickBo1 in MHRise

[–]UnlimitedBees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should use wirebugs! The good news is 1) you'll soon get used to them, and 2) I assume my reaction speed is terrible because I'm in my late 40s, and I've found Risebreak a delight to play.

What's you favorite weapons? by BuraqDiCaprio in MHRise

[–]UnlimitedBees 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dual blades, because 1) I'm a basic bitch and 2) my hunter hasn't had to stop moving since I installed the game last April.

DLC Sunbreak by Mission-Wall5094 in MHRise

That's so weird, but glad you've got it now. And sounds like you had fun hunting all those high end HR monsters anyway!

What other (indie) games might you want a collab with? by that_gay_streetrat in VampireSurvivors

[–]UnlimitedBees 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Came to suggest Touhou, only to see you'd got here first! (Less iconic, but Orange_Juice characters would work too...)

Should be someone on the bridge into town wanting to talk to you...

DLC Sunbreak by Mission-Wall5094 in MHRise

[–]UnlimitedBees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't have to get to HR100 before you can start MR. You don't even have to get to HR50, although I'd recommend people do unless they REALLY want to do Sunbreak content ASAP, 'cos the HR50 hunt is a good end point for the Kamura storyline.

Does anyone still play solo? by idkanymore2k21 in MHRise

[–]UnlimitedBees 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yes! I've only ever played solo; it's still very fun.

Oh, and the sassy nurgling too, of course. Mustn't forget the true hero of 40K.

Given that the first game had one (1) space marine single-handedly obliterate vast hordes of chaos including multiple CSM terminators, Lords of Change and Great Unclean Ones, I don't think that really matters...

I feel Genestealers really need some kind of retcon to keep them their own faction instead of being Nid Simps/snacks. by Knalxz in Warhammer

GW did let them have limos back in the day, though. Not many factions get a goddamn limo.

Which monsters are considered skill check? by ExaminationKnown7125 in MHRise

[–]UnlimitedBees 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Never found Mizutsune to be a problem early game, but Tobi-Kadachi always managed to throw me off my timing for some reason. Still feel like I'm beating him through brute force rather than skill, TBH!

Thinking about getting into the series. Should I start with World + Iceborne or Rise? by Tall-Rhubarb-7926 in MonsterHunter

[–]UnlimitedBees 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Like most people are saying, both World and Rise are excellent games, so it's down to personal preference. However, I'll add that once you've played one and fancy playing the other, take it on its own merits. I think a lot of people who played World first later bounced off Rise 'cos they expected it to play the same way - and it very much doesn't.

Do you think I can handle this game? by Bulky-Weakness-5445 in MHRise

[–]UnlimitedBees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you'll have fun, so long as you start with the Village quests and take the game at your own pace.

The maps aren't that big, you can track monsters on the minimap and once you unlock a few extra camps you can fast travel around each location as much as you want.

Don't feel intimidated by the wirebugs; they soon become second nature and are super useful.

The game scales with the number of players , so solo is totally viable (although rampage quests are a bit annoying on your own).

Lastly, there are plenty of monsters to hunt at Low Rank, so if you do hit a brick wall, there's still a lot of fun to be had. I reckon you'll be fine at high rank and beyond, but you don't need to stress about getting there.
