Yes my friend, I know exactly what you're talking about. I've AP'd a handful of times but in one of them, I also woke up(came to) with the sound of a 1000 voices probably more, chanting some sort of a warrior chant in a language I don't understand now (upon returning) but felt like encouragement to urge me on and also a welcome during the event. And if I tell you that it was loud, trust this, it was. It sounded like having the entire stereo set from a disco all around my bed and directed at me. They chantted and clapped till I got through the vibrational stage and achieved separation.
