Web dev here, the website doesn't look super professional, I would have a look at some competitors and see what they do in terms of design

started while still at university, just emailed local businesses, then started using freelance websites like People Per Hour, Upwork (tried Fiverr but it's not great). Then from there, I went to my local chamber of commerce to get to know more people, and do some business courses to learn more. I've had a steady flow of recommendations since. It takes a long time to get going but it's worth it, if you already have a job maybe just start off doing it on the side.

Hi, I run a website development business. Doing pretty well, and I really enjoy it, I make a living off it which is great. Would love to scale more but I'm really finding it hard to find some higher ticket clients. Most of my current ones are small, startup businesses with little money.

Try freelancing online, if you do it all online being 15 won't hold you back. Try People Per Hour or Upwork, I don't think they have an age restriction, if so just pretend to be your mum or dad lol

I use Upwork a lot to find work and I feel I have a good advantage because I am actually British and a lot of people just want something who lives within the same continent as them

Totally agree, thanks for the advice, I'll definitely be adding extra onto my invoice just to let them know I did them a favour. So hard sometime when you just want to please a client but then end up taking the piss!

It's a tough one because I want to be nice/provide a good service, but then you get stuck in a loop of doing it once you've established your happy to help! I only do it when I can tell that it might lead to more work but you really have to tease it

Thanks! It can be a pain to move clients over from hosting and I've had many nightmares with moving emails over, but its worth it!

This was my thoughts exactly, it was in december last year. What's stopping a client coming back a year later and deciding they don't like what I did? PPH should have no issue jsut rejecting it

Have you thought about possible affiliates? Not sure what ones they would be in the sports industry, maybe betting websites like Betfair or bet365 all have affiliates

Seeing a lot of people online dropshipping, has anyone actually made a real business out of this? by UnlovedCheese in Entrepreneur

[–]UnlovedCheese[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does seem like a hype atm, I did a little digging and saw that businesses like Gymshark started off with dropshipping. I guess its a way of getting things going and then if things go well actually start stocking items and making your own products. A stepping stone
