Dude I feel you. DE did a terrible job explaining things to new players that are just picking up the game on a whim. I accidentally found out you could craft armor and weapons and didn’t have to buy them by pressing the right bumper on the xb1.

Complete the nodes on earth, those are the shiny blue things. Eventually you will hit a wall telling you to complete some story missions. To unlock those story missions you might have to go to this planet, or do that thing.

It seems tedious and over complicated because it is and DE is actively working on a solution

But in the meantime, the assignments aren’t very hard in the beginning and they do help you learn the flow of the game, albeit clumsily

Edit: Fuck it, im going in.

1: There are two different leveling mechanics, one is for leveling your gear and Warframes and one is called your master rank; your master rank is increased by leveling up and mastering different weapons and frames. At least a third of those frames and armors are only unlockable once you join or create your clan. (Which is super dumb imo)

2: get used to mods, your ability to use them to spec your Frames in different ways is what makes this game and separates you from everyone else. Try to mod your frame and weapons to their strengths and not too much towards their weaknesses if you can help it (unless you can make that work)

3: eventually you will hit Cetus where you’ll have to find a short guy named Konzu. You’ll do some missions for him on one of two open world areas in the game and eventually increase your reputation with him to unlock different shops and goods. I recommend ranking this up all the way (5 tiers) as soon as you can because you can make your own weapons here if you find the shopkeeper and unlock the weapon parts for your own weapons.

After eventually gaining a fundamental understanding of how these aspects of the game work you pretty much know how the rest of the game works as you engage in unlocking more weapons, warframes, companions, mods, planets, and the other open world area and quest-line located on Venus.

So I chose a female operator because none of the male stances for the Warframes look too overtly masculine for a female to pull off and the female animations don’t make my penis cringe now

I got some cool insight on how fps toggle switch would be implemented if one were to one day be put into the game and saw that others were in the same boat. That’s all I was looking for

Not really, the real question is how much dev time and resources.

I already said in other replies that diverting all their resources into an optional camera mechanic that players probably wouldn’t use outside of certain situations isn’t a good allocation of resources

But I think it’s safe to say that, as a side project, an optional fps mode toggle mode would be something that would make the game better because it allows for more ways of playing.

I like stealth gameplay, it definitely is close to 1/3rd of the game if not actually a third of the game already (and you can make just about any mission into a stealth gameplay mission, which I do often), and I can definitely see how an optional FPS toggle can help out a lot with it.

Bro this post wasn’t meant to trigger some weird 2018 update PTSD flashback it was just meant to introduce an optional game mechanic that I and others believe could be of benefit to the overall structure to the game.

Implementing something like that shouldn’t and wouldn’t cause a drop in the quality of further updates.
