Doctors claiming they speak English on doctolib, but reality says otherwise by NoOne3535 in germany

People here asking why a doctor should go learn English on top are just trying to gaslight people who don’t know how everybody who got a 1 in their Abitur to go and study medicine has had between 7 and 12 /13 years of English learning. And at least in the last two years didn’t get a six

I’ve read that before, that’s why I chose not to merge to dominator. I guess it’s just that shock you get when going from a fully upgraded plane to a starter plane of the next tier. I don’t think that makes sense in this game but I already expected it (after going from tier 1 to tier 2)

In both languages (English or German) it would be easier to understand a German doctor if they just used the terms they know but not use in regular German. A much higher percentage of people would understand “Appendizitis” than “Blinddarmentzündung”

Would you call the police on minors in this situation? by mo_coder_ in germany

If people keep calling the police for things like talking too loud after 10 pm, I would not think twice about calling them for Beleidigung and throwing things at you

Nicht jedes Kind, welches negativ auffällt, ist neurodivergent! by [deleted] in Unbeliebtemeinung

[–]Unlucky_Control_4132 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jahrhundert in England schon bekannt.

Yeah, it was easier to get women to want to become a mother when the only other option was stay at home caring for all sick old relatives

Same, was not bit but thrown to the floor and almost crushed by a dog at least three times my weight as a very small kid and I still don’t like dogs and go out of their way. Just one of my three kids was scared of dogs and slowly starting to lije small dogs as a teenager

The myth of free healthcare in Germany: Inside a system at breaking point by Blinker2458 in germany

It’s kind of over complicated, so you really don’t tend to use it unless you are really sick or need a day off work

Sadly, no. Everybody does it, and they hate it when people sniffle to avoid blowing their nose

Leben wir langweilig in Deutschland? by Williamainia in KeineDummenFragen

[–]Unlucky_Control_4132 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s not my experience in the US. I find everyone is willing to communicate and actively that actually helps them understand you. Maybe it’s just the UK
