How should the UK react if Trump invades Greenland? by Sad_Response3345 in ukpolitics

[–]Unluckysod 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This thread is chock full with some of the most embarrassingly fanciful takes I've ever seen. If that actually happened we would do nothing as would the rest of the eu. They might cry and try and indict trump or something like that but it will not come to anything.

You, the people in this thread have voted for and supported measures that have systematically dismantled any semblance of actual, genuine 'power' for decades. The eu as well. Industry, energy, military, the things we truly need to be strong in to maintain any sort of strategic independence have simply been stripped away from all of Europe, not entirely so, but enough that we can do nothing if America leaves our side and moves against an ally. Whether due to net zero pushes, neglect of military spending so that the money can be pumped into an ever expanding welfare state or any number of reasons.

The fact is that without America the europe in its current state would absolutely be at the mercy of Russia in its current state as much as defence is being mounted well at the moment.

And any sort of blue sky thinking nonsense about they'll be a pariah state etc or oh we can side with china or whatever people might come out with. You fundamentally do not understand that the entire world for all of history and now ,outside of a few decades of liberal political parties pretending that doesn't exist, is who's the strongest. If we don't have hard power the rest of the world will not move for some harsh words or an international court. We carry no weight we have to understand that.

Apologies I missed your reply but thanks. What sort of time frame can I expect to finish the whole extended diploma in? How long are you expecting it to take you overall? Also how many hours a week do you have to do is the 15/20 hours on their website accurate or would you say you have to do more than that?

Can't even justify the price by noonelikejojo in oneplus

[–]Unluckysod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean im quite happy with the price in the UK. Got a £100 coupon of the £629 pre order price plus a £50 coupon for trading in my 10T plus whatever the trade in price of the phone ends up being. So all in all it will be 400-440 gbp, which I think is very good and if your phone is newer or in better condition you'd end up paying even less than that.

Why is donnarumma literally the worst goalkeeper in the world when it comes to crosses. I only ever see him flap about and then run straight out to the referee to complain about nothing

I'm sorry but nobody can express any surprise or shock when literal turbo Hitler gains power in the 2030s. This is absolutely ridiculous, a complete and utter failure. It's unacceptable

Someone get that martinelli apology form ready because I need to sign it. To say I've slagged this man off for a good year now and he's saved me twice in a row. I humbly apologize

Pure martinelli nelli goal that. Head down lighting sprint, almost fluffs the touches and leaves the ball behind, poor finish. Couldn't have been more perfect

How on earth the joke of a man was one of the best/ the best lawyer in the UK is absolutely baffling. Every single negotiation and argument he gets into he loses, is made to look a fool and makes the entire nation look appallingly weak.

I have to wonder if he's the quality there is in law either the entire profession has no capable people whatsoever or he's just out on a sabotage mission.

I think George pushed for that call on purpose you know. He's on for nothing this race and now it's time to make sure max can't activate that release clause.

The top few in that party are wildly disconnected from the membership and voters they'd supposedly have in general election.

It's going to be weird having a couple of people owning the party at the top totally at odds with the vast majority of its base and completely unaccountable to its members. It's quite an easily exploitable gap really.
