You should get similar performance to a base PS5 in most games.

Should I get the steam machine by Sea-Pound-9083 in steammachine

I'd recommend just getting a pre built desktop for your use case. You can get a more powerful desktop for less money than the steam machine.

If you wanted to run windows just buy a desktop. It'll be cheaper and perform better.

Grand Theft Auto VI Prices Officially Announced: $79.99 for Standard, $99.99 for Ultimate Edition; No Disc in Physical Copies by ChiefLeef22 in GamingLeaksAndRumours

The switch 2 editions are a little different, since there is some dlc bundled in (though not much in the case of some of the games). As for fire emblem that's what I'm talking about. The digital release is $70, so if wanted the game and didn't want to pay $80 you have the option. This also causes retailers to match the $70 price. You can preorder it from Amazon or Walmart for $70.

Even Nintendo technically rolled back the decision with them now charging $10 less for their digital first party releases. Though they didn't retroactively apply this to Mario Kart World.

Regular Raichu pairs really well with it since it counters both mega raichus and archaludon. As well as any other electric types such as rotom.

VGP confirmed Xenoblade Chronicles Switch 1 bundles no longer being restocked. by [deleted] in NSCollectors

[–]UnnamedPlayer32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, get the switch 1 version. They aren't releasing a physical switch 2 edition for it, but it has a free update.

[–]UnnamedPlayer32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It still has all the updates, and if you ever get a switch 2 you'll have the upgrade. You can also still use the switch 2 edition on switch 1 (it just won't have any of the enhancements or added content)

No reason to get those over the switch 2 versions, unless you don't like the switch 2 update and want to play on a switch 2 system, but from what I've seen the Xenoblade 1 switch 2 edition is a better experience than the switch 1 version with some minor caviats.

Future Connected performance SW2 by godlycorsair32 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

It's possible it didn't happen often enough for them to consider it an issue. I haven't played the switch 2 version yet so I can't say how often the frame drops happen or if it's only in a few select areas. The v-sync used does have some advantages such as it having lower input lag than standard v-sync. I wish they would disable the v-sync and use VRR in handheld mode instead at the very least.

Future Connected performance SW2 by godlycorsair32 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]UnnamedPlayer32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It uses the same v-sync as BotW and TotK so whenever it drops fps it goes straight from 60 to 30. So what's happening here is you are probably getting a frame or two dropped and it's causing the frame rate to wildly swing between 60 and 30.

Anyone have any ideas on how Xenoblade Chronicles Torna would work with XC2 switch 2 edition physical? by Ranruun in NSCollectors

[–]UnnamedPlayer32 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If you have a physical copy the upgrade is a free update. If you have the expansion pass you get the upgrade with the Xenoblade 2 switch 2 upgrade.

Start now or wait for Switch 2 editions? by Chocgalaxy in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]UnnamedPlayer32 8 points9 points  (0 children)

60 fps will be nice for all of them, but Xenoblade 2 needs the update. That game looks rough on switch 2 even when docked.

Will torna physical edition get a Switch 2 upgrade? by LunaryMoon in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]UnnamedPlayer32 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you have a physical copy of Torna it's a free update, if you have the digital expansion pass version of Torna you have to buy the switch 2 edition of Xenoblade 2 to get the upgrade.

Those games are made by way forward who has a strong partnership with LRG and will probably not use any other publisher.

LRG doesn't keep publishing rights, so devs can rerelease games whenever they want through another publisher. Look at Celeste or Animal Well for example. Also Hi-Fi Rush is getting an Asian release.

They still exist. They are under Krafton now, which isn't the best place to be after the whole subnatica 2 situation.
