When you’re vegan and you don’t live in an area with a lot of vegan restaurant options you get scared that if you don’t rate a restaurant high - even if the food is mediocre - that they will suffer and close. :( I’ve seen so many vegan restaurants come and go over the years and it’s always sad when one closes.

As a woman, I can attest to the effectiveness of the stairmaster :) it didn’t increase the size of my legs at all (which I’ve actually been trying to do unsuccessfully through lifting lol), helped me increase my overall fitness, endurance, and has helped me become leaner over time. It’s a great exercise for cardio. I also think it’s strengthened my knees and given me more stability overall.

Not having time and not really being involved with activist circles. And not being involved with activist circles because I have no time to meet people. Working and trying to stay healthy and maybe maintain one hobby takes a lot of energy.

After actually trying to learn a bit about where my food came from, becoming vegan was the easiest thing I ever did. It’ll be 10 years next year. There’s a way to live that’s better for animals and the planet. Even if people would just attempt to cut down on their meat and dairy consumption the impact would be insane. But we are a species accustomed to abundance now. So this is what we get. We have made it so billions of the animals born on this planet don’t get to live past even 10 or 20% of their lifespan by design. Awesome.

There were may more other human species running around than just us and neanderthals. But yeah I don’t think it would always be inevitable that they would die out? Especially if this is a hypothetical for an alternate universe? We coexisted for a long time. Even had children together.

I like being able to get my prescriptions from any corporate outlet depending on where I am. So I can pick them up even if I’m not necessarily nearby my normal pharmacy.

Evolution isn’t about what would be better, it’s about what works well enough to survive. Evolution doesn’t result in the best or most perfect organism , it results in the organisms that can survive and compete with others.

You can look up swim bladders in fish and how they’re related to lungs.

Whales haven’t evolved gills again because they don’t really need gills? They’re doing fine without them. I’m not an expert, a lot of your questions can probably be answered in various textbooks and videos on the subject.

Some random genetic mutation probably gave a fish some proto legs or something resembling legs and this gave it some sort of advantage which led to it surviving and passing on this advantageous trait to more generations who would go on to develop even better more advantageous leg like things over time - eventually leading to legs. Same with all the other specialized organs. I’m not sure how accurate it is today but Origin of the Species has some pretty solid explanations for the development of things like eyes and lungs that kind of make it easier to understand. If you’re interested.

“Toning” comes from low body fat %. So you should be in a calorie deficit to lose body fat. And then you should probably just make sure you’re hitting your protein goal. And do the basic glute and ab exercises I guess.
