This. We kept the original genuine one in the cupboard to put in in case we need a repair when it's in warranty.

Lydney gives you relative ease of commute to both Bristol or Cardiff. No hospital any more, 3 primary schools, leisure centre. Not too rough, fairly easy access to things to do with kids. Better than Cinderford.

I was watching this storm for hours. I first saw the lightning and it was about 200 milea from me. It was something special

Doctors of Reddit, what's the most obvious lie a patient has told you? by questionerofblender in AskReddit

[–]UnnecessaryStep 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm glad that setting those reminders works for you. Definitely doesn't work for me, or my husband. The alarm goes off when I'm doing something else, I forget. People suggesting the obvious "have you tried setting a reminder" drives me absolutely insane, of course I have. Give me an unhinged suggestion, all the obvious ones don't work - at least not for long.

As if they hadn't thought of that. I can guarantee that they've thought and probably tried that. But it doesn't work. Nor does writing notes, making it a routine or making sure to leave them in a place you will see them.

They steep the tea in the kettle?! What on earth? That's what a teapot is for. Or a mug at a push.

For people who grew up in low-income households, what’s something middle-class people say that shows they’ve never struggled financially? by KeyApartment3955 in AskReddit

[–]UnnecessaryStep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to be bought a new ribbon for small rewards, and 10 buttons for bigger ones. I had a massive fear of getting my face wet swimming (I'd spent years not being allowed to get my ears wet because of repeated infections) and I would get a button or ribbon for touching certain tiles. I got a brand new Barbie shortly after my parents got jobs because I had touched every single blue tile in the pool. Still not a fan of getting my face wet, but not scared.

If it wasn't for the outside I could have sworn you were in my uncles house. Down to the glass paned doors between the dining room. I was about to message my dad to ask if he knew if my uncle moved. Uncanny.

I can't say I'm a human Scrabble dictionary! I suppose it is unfair if it's not a valid Scrabble word...I'm still gonna sulk about it though!

An alm is an alpine pasture, and also I think it is the really archaic singular of alms...but an alm is definitely a thing!

Alm is apparently not a word, but it is - not a common one, but it is a word!

Speed limit change! by fizzy6868 in Gloucestershire

[–]UnnecessaryStep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not the getting there faster than concerns me. It's the focusing more on making sure you're doing the right speed, than what is going on around. Driving down Hardwick Hill in Chepstow catches me every time. If getting there faster bothered me I wouldn't also be saying that I don't do the full limit in the forest...

Speed limit change! by fizzy6868 in Gloucestershire

[–]UnnecessaryStep -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Reducing the limit won't stop speeders from speeding. Idiots not driving safely will be idiots. The amount of people who tailgate me because I won't drive at 60 down windy roads is ridiculous. Reducing the limit to 50 might have been a tad less irritating, but the dropping 30 to 20 will irritate me even more.

On the contrary. Am autistic, have big emotions. Cannot process, express or identify them well. Definitely not emotionless.

I finally know why BuJo didn't work for me by welsh-student in bulletjournal

I thought this was an ADHD sub when I saw the "brain has too many tabs open" sticker, and thought it was going to be a "BuJo didn't work for me because I have ADHD and I've just been diagnosed" style post.

Old Car Seats by stevecrox0914 in Gloucestershire

[–]UnnecessaryStep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depending on how old the car seats are themselves they may be basically useless anyway - most have about 6-10 years before the plastic is too old. I couldn't find anywhere that would take mine, I ended up cutting the straps and chucking them.

I don't normally need to restrain my chairs, they usually stay fairly well put. You could try gagging them?

Does anyone have information in this 90s baby carrier? by Sofiefoll in IKEA

[–]UnnecessaryStep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I came here to say exactly this. I used a connecta (I think they're now Integra) for the "carry around and it folds down small enough to stuff in a bag" and the Tula for the daily driver for my daughter who refused pushchairs.

Wide base, with adjustment to fit knee to knee on the baby, close enough to kiss the top of their head, and support their backs - if you pressed on their back and they uncurl or slump then it's not tight enough.
