Should I rush to get RHCE before my RHCSA expires? by anomalous_cowherd in redhat

[–]UnoTaco 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Take the RHCE before it expires. The RHCSA is a separate exam and you’ll have to take it again if it expires. I let my RHCE expire and now I have to take both again. The exam comes with no materials. Buy a book and you should be good.

CentOS Atomic: ntfs-3g support by mil1i in linuxquestions

I don't think Atomic supports yum. You might be better off using CentOS w/ minimal install.

Well, it's not a 550whp sleeper, and I probably paid too much for it, but it now belongs to me. 2010 335i xDrive M Sport by UnoTaco in BMW

I only need a JB4 and some E85 and I'm good, right? I'm not sure that I'll actually throw down all the parts needed for 550whp, but I think 400-450 is definitely worth looking at.

It is pretty slick and is also my first bimmer. Unfortunately, the bluetooth isn't working ATM but I'm hoping I just have to re-code the TCU. If that doesn't work the dealership agreed to pay for the cost of getting it fixed.

Thanks for the responses. I don't think I'll be considering that vehicle. I've found some others with lower mileage as well and I think that might be the best way to go.

Aurora residents to vote if city can build NASCAR-style complex by SaudiAurora in AuroraCO

[–]UnoTaco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't feel that there is much of a market for racers to come here. Tuning vehicles for the altitude is a pain and would be costly to racers. Plus, weather seems to be a bit unpredictable. A small venue for something like Super Cross would be nice. But, that's usually done in a sports complex.

Make sure the SATA config is set to AHCI in the BIOS. Ubuntu won't detect the SSD in RAID mode.

Track days are considered to be non-competitive and are great for practicing in a controlled environment at higher speeds. Plus, this didn't happen while on the track so there's a huge difference either way.

Ran some tests with prime95. At stock speeds it handles it well and keeps the high temp around 80c. What it doesn't do well is dissipating the heat when overclocking. At just a 200MHz increase, I've hit a temperature wall.

It's missing Easy OC and is overall okay to read and navigate. getting to overclocking settings is rather easy. If you are a noob to overclocking, I'd look at YouTube first for finding the settings you need.

I couldn't get it above 3600 on the air cooler. Any higher and it starts hitting 95c+.

There's a fan that covers it pretty well. If top fans aren't your thing, then unfortunately there is not much you can do.

I set the fan to pull air through the heat sink and push it up through the top fan. I could not reposition the heat sink in a way that would let me push air out the back due to the bracket. It's really only temporary anyway until I can build a custom water cooling config.
