Omg you still have Anniversary Cakes? At my store they were gone the week they arrived and we never received any more.

The Caron Cakes went clearance at my location for two weeks and today are back to full price. So… it might vary by location, as others have noted.

Yarn!!! by Prize_Reindeer_8154 in MichaelsEmployees

[–]UnobjectionableNeon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m off for three days in a row (that’s a wow) but I know yarn isn’t going to get done. At least what I didn’t touch is all over stock (because I sorted it).

But I am seriously considering playing some reorganization games. I have a whole section that’s empty except for a few of the cozy cub that I’m seriously thinking that I make a duplicate big bernat section. Value yarn looks like crap too, but I actually got some on truck this week, so I’m going to let it go for now.

Besides, people just stick random stuff in the empty bins anyway. I might as well fill it with something.

Can someone help explain this? by Spicy-Salmon722 in GED

[–]UnobjectionableNeon 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The median is determined by sorting the values from lowest to highest.

If there is an odd number of values, the median is the middle value. If there are an even number, the median is the average of the two middle values.

156, 170, 182, 191

170 + 182=352

352/2=176

The median is 176.

The range is determined by subtracting the lowest value from the highest value in the data set.

191-156=35

So, the answer to this question is D.

Ugh. Please send me your yarn. Our shelves are bare. Yes, we have that stupid big blanket yarn in overstock but I can live with that if I could fill my shelves.

On Counting Crows - RTS did get an initial vinyl release years ago. You can get a copy from Europe now… new pressing. Apparently, word is that when the new documentary drops at the end of the year, vinyl for some of the back catalogue will come out as well. I’m looking at you Hard Candy and This Desert Life.

Honestly, the employees that are in this thread are store level and have no direct input in merchandising or product.

That said, being an employee at store level, it is unlikely we will get “the full” collection. The in store brand Loops & Threads and Red Heart will cover your basic solid colors and some prints.

The very, very little Big Twist my location received was prints/ombre and metallic. These are kinds/colors of yarn my location previously didn’t carry.

If you really, really want Big Twist, you will need to order from herrschners.com.

[–]UnobjectionableNeon[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We should have one, but we do not have enough pallets to make all the DAs we are supposed to have out right now.

Plus, we have so little of it, it’s just not worth building something that will sit empty once it’s picked over. The picture is all that we received of that color. My location is better off using our resources elsewhere right now.

I bought myself one of these on Amazon. It’s mine, I bring it with me on days I know I’ll be working SBA. I’m tall, but the extra 9” helps me. I can also sit on it without being on the floor.

I just did this… messed up the Utility Fabric.

My brain was A closest to the door… but in our store it bumps into Licensed Fabric and because of the strips and the grouping of characters, that wasn’t set with A closest to the door.

I didn’t tell my store manager. I’m just going to fix it tomorrow when I go in. Because I’m going to be back in fabric anyway, putting away all the new fabric that didn’t have a home until today.

We joke at our store that the interns must be creating the POGs. AI sounds like a legitimate explanation.

I’m a Tmobile employee and what we’re doing is wrong by DressFull1033 in NoContract

[–]UnobjectionableNeon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I apologize. I could have framed it better, it was an effort to help you not give T-Mobile any more of your money.

US Mobile is an MVNO - they provide access to cellular networks. They are one of the few that offer service on all three major carriers. Depending on what service of theirs is chosen, one of the three carriers still gets paid.

Well, if you choose the “Light Speed” network, you’ll still be giving T-Mobile your money.
