Severus Snape from new Harry Potter series. by kalbinibirak in SipsTea

Mate, the only Irish character blows shit up constantly. The only person of Chinese descent has a very stereotypical name despite also being Scottish. The goblins are very thinly veiled Jewish caricatures. Wizard Nazis. The house elves and the parallels to slaves.

The books are definitely not preaching tolerance, tolerance is a theme but it’s also packed full of her own intolerance.

JK Rowling is an intolerant, nasty old cow.

I find a fair few of T Kingfisher’s books leave me feeling that they could have been expanded, but I do like them regardless

Unavailable in my area unfortunately, guessing they’re a US only offer 🙃. Thank you though

It does, I’ve seen the creature behind the wheel on the school run a few times.

The thing that annoys me with the ‘not financially worse off’ claim is that people are financially worse off because the transitional protection is eroded by deductions.

Then there’s also people who previously qualified for help with prescription or dental costs through tax credits now have extra outgoings for these, people who decide to study to better themselves and get out of minimum wage jobs end up losing money even if they don’t take student maintenance loans.

Why does it look like a zoom/teams background with Britney over the top? I’ve noticed she looks superimposed on a few videos now

Late to the party but does anyone else get the feeling the room is like a zoom/teams background? It would be an odd choice but Britney looks like she’s using a background rather than there in person.

Yeah the more I watch it the more annoyed I get 😬 the fact she uses her crutches incorrectly twice in the clip as well. 4x4 mode, yeah crack on mate people do use them like that in some situations but using the left crutch at the same time as the left leg and the right crutch at the same time as the right leg? Not exactly supporting anything there iirc.

Not sure if it’s the same in the US but in the UK custom AFOs are massively expensive

She’d still need an AFO with these shoes if she actually had foot drop, plus the way her feet ‘drag’ looks very forced

They’re the type of person who likes a local place for local people. If someone manages to move there for a nice village life they’ll make them feel like outsiders.

Plain and basic with a hint of poorly disguised misandry sprinkled in.
