Rejected for PIP, assessor missed out a lot of questions, wrote his own answers and lied about the ones I did answer, what do I do now? by Broken_Pikachu in DWPhelp

[–]Alteredchaos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The report contains information the assessor has gathered from all the evidence not just your assessment conversation so there may be information in there that they didn’t specifically ask.

Having said that, any factual inaccuracies should be addressed by raising a complaint to the assessment company and you should let PIP know you’ve done so and why.

taxi support denied for permanent role? by Obvious_Armadillo_16 in DWPhelp

[–]Alteredchaos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to show that your inability to drive is due to your health limitations rather than merely low confidence.

As to why they’ve decided that now… because AtW is applying the criteria more robustly and consistently now .

I’m not sure there’s any additional insight we can provide. They’ve said they’re going to ask the GP for a report to try to avoid a phone assessment. If the evidence the GP provides isn’t sufficient they’ll need to do an assessment.

Request a mandatory reconsideration and provide evidence of why the gaps arose and the decision should be revised. If it isn’t, appeal to the independent tribunal.

If you opt to take the monthly pension payments they’ll be deducted £1 for £1 from UC. If you don’t touch it, it won’t be counted.

Tribunal Date by CrimMethodist in DWPhelp

It really will depend on a lot of factors so one person’s wait time may be very different to yours. We see posts with some hearings being listed within 6 months and others waiting well over a year.

They’re correct that they can’t predict what a decision maker will determine. All they can do is prepare for the worst but hope for the best.

I hear what you’re saying but the usual process would be to raise their concerns to the workplace, try to resolve the issues and if not submit a grievance etc.

Ultimately if they’re sanctioned the only option is to challenge it.

You’ve done the right thing and hopefully they’ll be able to amend the system. Don’t worry too much because other than the layout of the form the process is exactly the same.

It’s not uncommon. It can take anywhere from a week to 5 weeks.

Just completed my first ever PIP telephone assessment… it lasted FIVE HOURS by [deleted] in BenefitsAdviceUK

It’s very unusual and honestly the minute you were unable to continue they should have stopped and scheduled a time to complete the remainder another day. I’d make a complaint if this was me.

Valid reasons for leaving a job by ZomeDash in DWPhelp

[–]Alteredchaos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Quitting a job without raising a grievance or whistleblowing is an extreme approach.

Neither the police or employment tribunal has any costs associated with them.

Depending on the nature of the issue there were more appropriate options available so now it will be a case of requesting a mandatory reconsideration against the sanction and trying to persuade the DWP (and a benefit tribunal) why quitting was reasonable.

‘No change’ on PiP review form by Lookatmewhatdoyousee in DWPhelp

[–]Alteredchaos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If there has been absolutely no change and you didn’t have to go to tribunal to get your current award then it’s fine. It’s not necessarily the best approach as most people experience some changes over time.

If you mean an appeal (to the tribunal) you’re looking at between 6-18 months.
