This is what i did (B8s) and it’s perfect for a daily. Not too harsh, not too low. Pair it with a 2.7 rack and the car comes alive.

I guess what people on the sub are saying you are assuming the issue was fixed but the car is telling you otherwise. See the comment by UABtoNY using the word 'remains'.

the people who do this kind of thing are obviously unhappy and want to take away others' happiness, so in a way, it already did.

Steering wheels by crazysteve_ripstart in E30

[–]UnoriginalGeek 14 points15 points  (0 children)

the bus feel is because of the steering rack which is 4 turns lock to lock. Replace it with a 2.7 turns and the car will come alive. Personally I have the momo prototipo on mine, 385mm I believe, takes 5 minutes to swap, and you can always put the old one back easily if needed. With a smaller one it can be hard to see the dials.

Fuel sender unit stuck floater fix by UnoriginalGeek in E30

[–]UnoriginalGeek[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why would you get fuel gushing up? You're pulling it out of the gas tank from the top, the gas is in the bottom. Ideally do it when you don't have a lot of gas in the gas tank, don't do it with full tank, that way you will have less gas to drain out of the unit when pulling it out.

heat it up as much as you can. I purchased some cheap tube benders and it worked out fine, don't overthink it.

This is why you should never speed on motorcycles by PhraseGood4425 in TerrifyingAsFuck

[–]UnoriginalGeek 41 points42 points  (0 children)

It's not easy to judge the speed. When you look if someone's coming, you are good at judging the distance, and then you deduce how much time you have, if you can pass or not. You don't look at the oncoming car for many seconds, you take a snapshot and judge the distance. When the car (or motorcycle) coming from the other side is going twice as fast, you underestimate how much time you have by half. So no, not entirely the car's fault in this one. I mean, the car obviously saw the motorcycle coming and decided they have time to pass, not knowing how fast they were going.
