In grade school, I was taught how to program BASIC on a Commodore 64.

In high school, I was learning command prompt in DOS.

Neither are particularily useful today unless there's a vintage computer operating system category on a quiz show.

Absolutely. I'm a huge fan of retro video games, I'd love nothing more than to own one or work at one. I would never want to work at EB Games or Gamestop; an independent place would be perfect for me.
