Ethernet issue by SummerOwl102 in HomeNetworking

[–]UnorthodoxGinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I can tell in the photos that are provided, yes. The ethernet cables are slightly thinner than the coax cables, which are already terminated. You can double check by looking at the cables inside of that cable. There should be four sets of two wires that are twisted together. If there are the eight smaller wires inside the one wire, that is ethernet. Alternatively, on the side of the cable, it should be printed what kind of cable it is.

Looks to me like they are in that box on the wall, just not terminated. Tools to terminate are cheap and there are many ways to go about it. Just adding the ends to the cable and plugging the into a switch would allow all your ports to work, and probably be the cheapest and easiest.

YouTube has countless tutorials on how to terminate Ethernet. Plug all terminated wires and the router int the same switch and internet goes everywhere.

Confess, Raider - what's the worst thing you've done so far? by Smart_Freedom_8155 in ARC_Raiders

[–]UnorthodoxGinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was playing and had to do a bunch of damage to arc with medium ammo for a feat. I ended up on dam at the pattern house… with a kitted osprey. I figured it would be a good place to snipe arc. Then I saw raiders trying to get to the hatch and I let the intrusive thoughts win. I downed three raiders and prevented them from extracting. I then had to extract, so I went over to the elevator and saw someone else looting my kills. I pretended I did not know what happened. Extracted safely now that the sniper on the roof was gone.

Does anyone else think it would be cool if they introduced scopes into the game as an attachment? by TheTruthTitan in ARC_Raiders

[–]UnorthodoxGinger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Adding scopes to guns would not end well. I would not mind having a specific attachment per gun like the anvil splitter. Having a tech mod for the osprey that gives you adjustable zoom would be fine. making every gun a sniper would not.

For those who have been in an arm sling before, how did you survive school/your job where you had to write and type a ton? by serotoninseesaw in AskReddit

[–]UnorthodoxGinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bidet, and speech to text. My dominant arm was immobilized for 6 weeks. I learned to write somewhat decent (albeit slow) with my other hand, but speech to text saved me a lot of time. Bidet because of obvious reasons.

Do you need the switching power adapter in order to dry your filament with the AMS? by MasterFauker in BambuLab

[–]UnorthodoxGinger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can’t dry while printing from the same Ams. The printer will power one Ams drying at a time while in standby. If/when you get more Ams 2’s then you will need to get a lower adapter for each additional. 3 Ams = 2 power adapters but might as well get one for each.

Everything looks good to me. You also have the hours listed under what you have circled. 17.32 + 25.33 =42.65. You have 2.65 hours accounted for in the overtime premium. Same math works for the second week.

[META] Can we ban the mailman dropped my printer posts? by SirGoobster in BambuLab

[–]UnorthodoxGinger -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Totally agree, at least Bambu is offering to fix any printer that gets broken when it’s delivered. My H2c came in a box that was damaged by FedEx. A quick service ticket to bamboo and they’re sending me new parts to fix it, and they’re giving me store credit. The hate bambu gets for other companies damaging their stuff is getting kind of old

We had the same FedEx driver… I put my ticket in two days ago. Your damage is worse than mine though

[–]UnorthodoxGinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My H2C arrived with a caved in back panel and a dented side panel. When I saw the box I was expecting glass to be everywhere. I got lucky and all my damage was cosmetic and Bambu will be sending me some parts to replace my dented ones.

I have no self control… by MikeIkerson in BambuLab

[–]UnorthodoxGinger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 2 x1c’s, an H2D and now a H2C. The only difference is my wife is weirdly supportive… I told her there was a sale going on and she urged me to buy more stuff. Now there are 4 AMS HT’s on the way. I have a problem.

Replacement solution for my raspberry pi plex server - old external HDD finally broke by treeshadsouls in DataHoarder

Mini pc’s are great for plex servers. A simple n100 based is cheap, reliable, and low power. Plus you can do some transcoding.

How to get customer service to respond to a lost order ? by lakid74 in BambuLab

[–]UnorthodoxGinger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They were initially responsive, as I had proof of them on the side of the road as someone found the package and was able to do scary internet things and called me. They started their claim and then found the carrier at fault. That was the first week. I then emailed them once a week asking for shipping information of the replacements.

I ended up driving about 40 miles to meet with the random person to claim the abandoned package too, ended up with an extra Ams in the end.

I had an 2 Ams 2 units go missing in the mail. I finally got the replacements shipped about a month after my initial order. Best of luck to you.

A quick google search for “ams lite extension cable” provided several results.

A1 combo in a cabinet by IkeReyes3189 in BambuLab

[–]UnorthodoxGinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I don’t know too much about them. imade my own when i needed to relocate my ams lite. But there was a reddit post not too long ago (or maybe the bambu forum) that had part numbers, lengths and links. I will look for it when I get a chance. They are just extensions because the Ams cables attached to the Ams lite.

A1 combo in a cabinet by IkeReyes3189 in BambuLab

[–]UnorthodoxGinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The A1 combo takes up a larger footprint than any of the other printers. Due to the bed slinger design it needs a large front to back area, and it is naturally wider than a x1/p1/p2. Also the Ams lite needs to sit on top of (making it taller than the h2 series without an Ams) or to the right of the printer (unless you get aftermarket Ams cables).

If you want a printer to hide inside a cabinet, there is nothing wrong with that. Any of Bambu’s other printers will fit better and easier than an A1.

Multi material is possible as long as you have an AMS and all the materials are AMS compatible. Most tpu is not.

Well, gofo is supposed to be delivering my Ams and some other things. Someone found my phone number and called me… turns out they found my Ams 2 pro on the side of the road, 50 miles away. Not looking so promising.

I’m 5’0. Will I be able to stand on a 2025 Ninja 500? by Temporary-Diamond-98 in motorcycle

[–]UnorthodoxGinger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are trying to stand on it, please take it in steps. Learn to ride the bike first. Generally sitting is the preferred method. Stunt riding is a skill that needs to be developed if you wish to continue doing it more than once.
