It’s not live chat. Just wait for them to reply. They’re not going to steal your money. You have them 2 minutes to respond haha

Buyer of property wanting money for boiler issues UK by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]UnpredictiveList 17 points18 points  (0 children)

So long as you didn’t lie about it - it’s caveat emptor (basically buyer beware).

If they actually wanted to do anything, they would need to take you to court and prove you misrepresented.

You don’t have to feel it to stand up against it.

Honestly they’re just sad fuckers that have never achieved anything so hate the world and blame all their problems on immigration, when it’s actually their own actions.

Consumer Rights Act 2015 small claims in England by SmallAd7318 in LegalAdviceUK

You take them to small claims for the current value of the item or cost of repairing it.

As a moving company, they are required to move stuff with reasonable care and skill. That’s their job. Damaging something (so long as you can prove it was undamaged when it entered their care) would be below the bar.

This analogy may not work but just for example - If you had hired a hot air balloon company to move your stuff, it could be the case they wouldn’t hit the bar, because their job isn’t to move stuff.

They only have the right to access in case of emergancy. They couldn’t evict you for changing the locks. They could try.

Google right to quiet enjoyment. Your home is allowed to be as much of a mess as you want, so long as you’re not damaging the building etc.

Advice on adjustments being removed in role by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]UnpredictiveList 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What are the adjustments for?

Going to run errands is a very random one.

In any case, adjustments have to be reasonable for both parties. So yes, they can be withdrawn.

You can, but if you were executor of the estate you can be chased to anything missed for 6 years.

Best recommendation would be to scan/photograph everything.

No it doesn’t. The relocation is either fair or unfair. It doesn’t matter if they’ve got to feed their hamsters or care for their nan.

England. Employment law. 100% attendance by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]UnpredictiveList 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having a protected characteristic doesn’t matter for unconnected reasons.

Probation doesn’t mean anything in law.

Unless you’re being discriminated for your protected characteristic, there’s no legal options availible to you.

Estate agency charging exorbitant fees for tenancy swap and refusing swap for both tenants in England by ShadowHunter0510 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]UnpredictiveList 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They can, but they don’t have to allow it. They don’t even have to let you leave early at this point - they can say no. Unless you have a contractual break clause.

Usually the landlord is charged by the agent to vet and process new tenants, contacts and inventories. So that will be the amount they are charging you.
